It's true how quickly it can happen. One time my parents and I were at a pool and there was a toddler playing like he was gonna push his dad in the water. After a few times the dad said over to his wife, "Can you watch him? I'm gonna dive in." Well she mustn't have heard (she was dealing with other family members) and as the dad went forward, his son was two paces behind, and when the dad dove in and was a quarter of the way down the pool, the kid had gone in. Luckily my dad and I had been watching and my dad dove in and saved him. So scary.
Huge hugs! I remember the panic of saving other peoples children as a lifeguard in the past. I couldn't imagine the horror I would feel if they were my own children. Ts and Ps going out to you and your family
Im in tears reading this. I saw your fb post but didn't know what had happened. That is so terribly scary. I'm thinking and praying for all of you, huge hugs, mer!!
Also, huge props to Mr.Mermo, I just can't even imagine how scary this was. I started panicking as I was reading it. Bless sweet Averey's little heart!
