Hey all! So with all the craziness going on in my life I often take for granted the things that are always there for me. Like my doggies. No matter how bad my day has been or how grumpy I am when I get home, these two amazing boys are always excited to see me and know how to cheer me up. So I thought maybe I would start a thread where we can give our four-legged friends the props they deserve. I don't know how I would stay sane without them!
On the left, snuggled deep into my couch, is Scruff McGruff. He is ~3 yrs old and we think he's a schnauzer-poodle mix. We don't know his age or mix for sure because my parents found him on the side of the road about a year and a half ago. DH and I were newly-weds and were thinking about getting a rescue from the pound when poof! Scruff (my mom named him) shows up. We swear he is half cat because he likes to be as high up as possible (perfectly content in your arms 24/7) and he sleeps most of the day. As you can clearly see he likes fluffy things.
Then on the right is the newest addition, Brodie "Biggun". He is eight months old and a purebred Australian Shepherd. His parents are my parents' dogs. lol He is as rambunctious as they come and will probably eat me out of house and home but I love him dearly! (AND HE SHEDS.... GAH!) As you can see he disdains all things soft (rips them to shreds) and prefers the cool, smooth stone of our hearth.
These boys not only keep me entertained while I'm home alone...
They also get their exercise whenever DH comes home from work....
So needless to say these are my "furbabies!" Who are yours? Have any funny stories to share?

Re: N3TR: Furbabies!!!
He's a little over weight (well a lot) he learned a new trick at the vets office when he's boarded. He hides his food under his blanket and barks at them and looks at his bowl as if "you forgot to feed me"

I can never pass up an opportunity to show off my fur babies!
This is Mya Bea or "big girl" as I call her most of the time. She's our sweet, gentle giant. When we got her they assured us she wouldn't get bigger than 25lbs. At her last vet visit I think she was around 65! She's always happy and follows me EVERYWHERE I go. One of these pictures DH took the other day...she just lays outside the door and waits for me when I take a shower at night.
And then there's Maddie or "little girl". She's six pounds of furry wonderful. She's so easy going and lovey. I had her long before I met DH, but the love she has for him is borderline ridiculous. Everyday, about an hour before the time he usually comes home, she will go sit by the door and wait for him. It's pretty adorable.

This is my Scooby. He's insane, but totally a love bug. He was a rescue, and to our knowledge he's full Italian Greyhound. He gives the best hugs, and sometimes he smiles like a weirdo and steals socks.

I could seriously talk about how cute he is all day.
I have two cats!
Nietzsche, my 11 year old tuxedo cat, is super affectionate and chatty. He's a definite tree dweller; he would be blissfully happy if we let him spend his days on top of a ladder.
Oh, cat number two. Cat number two is Dinah, aka Demon Kitty. She's beautiful, and she adores my husband. ADORES. She'll follow him around the house, yelling at his ankles, until he sits and allows her onto his lap.
How does she feel about me? Well, she bites me every morning when I walk by. Alas, I adore her. I do not, however, adore the fact that she deposits crazy amounts of hair everywhere.
This is from our recent move during a pit stop. She battled the crate with ferocity for four hours until gaining freedom.

@Champs28 your doggie looks so much like my Scruff its scary! Also made me realize I didnt post any face shots of him. Lol He's living up to his name now because he is over due for a grooming.
@iPutKetchupOnKetchup my doggies hate deer too! Brodie actually has a pretty intimidating bark but he's a big chicken, while Scruff has a squeaky wimpy bark but no fear. He's tried to pick a fight with a German Shepherd once!
Gotta love the furbabies!

I love this thread! My pup is certainly my baby. I noticed that since I found out of my fertility issues, I have been talking to my pup like a baby a lot more (perhaps I am projecting onto him too much? lol), and campaigning for a second pup.
The big brown guy is Chino, who we had to put down in February of 2013. He is always my baby and I think of him/look at his pictures all the time. He was a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Shepherd mix rescue who grew to a good 110lbs. The "little" black guy is Bastion. He is now 9 1/2, but is still my baby boy. He is an 80lb Rottweiler/Lab/Pit Bull mix rescue who thinks he is my lapdog.
