RNP

Anyone still using a RNP or swing for sleep? LO has severe reflux, so our pedi told me that we would have to keep him in one until his reflux subsided. Can't help, but feel like he should be in his crib.

Re: RNP

  • Still using it about half the time. DS must be pushing 15 lbs now.

  • If he still fits in the RnP and isnt rolling over or tying to sit up/pull up in it I wouldnt worry too much. My girls are getting too long for it and they seem to want to stretch out more. Also I need them to sleep in a PNP at the babysitters when I start work in 2 weeks which is why I have been anxious about transitioning.

  • Mine is stillin the RNP, she is about 15 pounds.  No refluz, just easier to carry it up and down the stairs from our room to the main living space.

  • I hate letting DS sleep in the RNP. He looks so uncomfortable and hardly sleeps because he's thrashing around. I started putting him on the floor in the co-sleeper and/or in bed with me so he lays flat. He's about 17lbs now but looks too long for the RNP. Soon enough we will be able to set up his crib. I can't wait!
  • Still using ours; LO will be 4 mos on the 15th and I guess she is about 15 lb.  I can tell that its use is rapidly coming to an end, though.  She twists her body around in it now, except at night when she is still swaddled.
  • We are at 4 1/2 months and just over 14 lbs. The RNP is the only place I can put her down drowsy but awake and have her be cool with it. I want to work on transitioning her to a flat surface for the whole night (we bed share about half the time), but when she snuggles into her RNP and is out like a light it's difficult.

    RNP I CAN'T QUIT YOUUUUUU!!
  • My girls are still in the rock n play. They are addicted to the rock n play, pacifiers, and swaddles! I am not worrying about any transitions now.
They are still on the smaller side - maybe 11.5 lbs.

  • DS is huge and still in the RNP - 4 months on the 1st; 17.5 lbs and 26.75 inches. He still loves it. I'm afraid to move him.

  • DS will be 4 months on the 22nd and still in the rnp. We have the crib set up I'm just dreading the switch. I plan to do it this week.
  • Phew glad I'm not the only one. Ds is swaddled, but he's on the small side. 3 1/2 months, 12.5 lbs and 23 inches

  • I actually just only recently started using hit when DS started having sleep troubles these past few weeks. Sometimes it's the only way he will sleep.... He used to sleep all night in his crib but he's definitely hit a major regression.
