DH was born at 24 weeks...there's not a day that goes by that I'm not completely amazed by how far he's come and how much he has overcome!! Amazing stuff right there...
Oooooo I'm 24 weeks today and didn't even know it was V-day!!! How exciting!!
Thank you for making me feel good and confident! This Saturday is when I found out that I lost my first pregnancy (early miscarriage at 5.5 weeks), so this new milestone makes me feel so much better and helps to tell my brain to be quiet.
I feel like I've been doing so many countdowns with this pregnancy. 1) beta test after transfer 2) 1st ultrasound to see embryonic sac 3) twelve week U/S 4) 20 A/S 5) viability in less than three weeks. Congrats to all who made it to V-Day!
TTC since 11/2011 Me: Hypothyroid & PCOS DH: 0% morphology IVF #1 - transfer on 4/2/14 BFP 4/11/14 beta 161 EDD: 12/19/14 It's a GIRL! AnaSophia (Sophie; Soph the Loaf)
I'm still at 20w4d, but I can't wait to be at 24. 20w was a big deal for me b/c that's the point at which you can go straight to L&D if you have a problem instead of going to the ER first (at least at my hospital). We had a very, very bad experience in the ER last time, so 20w was a huge milestone. 24 will be even better!!!
Congrats to those who have made it all the way to 24!
V-day for me today! I always thought it was a silly thing to really celebrate because the prognosis for a baby born at 24 weeks isn't that great, but I've been really afraid of PTL these past couple of weeks so it is somewhat reassuring to know that they would try to save these babies if they suddenly came today.

I didn't even know about this but I'm 24 weeks today! Thank you and congratulations to all the other ladies as well! Sounds like a good reason to eat some cake.
I can't wait to reach V day. Although I know there are no guarantees, it will make me feel so much better. Being due mid month is a bummer! Congrats ladies hitting this big milestone!
I'm not at risk for PTL. I've never really worried about delivering early, but I know some see 26+ weeks as having the highest chances of survival for those at risk for pPROM.

Wow. I had no idea I missed my own Vday! Happy to know it...although I have a heart felt conversation with my little one each day encouraging her to stay put as long as possible! LoL. I pray for her to stay put, but am happy to know that she would have a chance if she came early. Congrats to all Vday mommies.... And to all our mommies! I'm Happy to continue to have an uneventful pregnancy.
Wooo! I've been waiting for this milestone for sure. 3 more days!
Side note: every time I see the "v day" title of this thread come up, my mind automatically says "vagina day," which confused me. I thought I missed some sort of sexy time pact

Look what I found. I am 23 weeks today. I had no idea the survival rates were so high this early on. In another month, most of us should be over 50%!!
Odds of a Premature Baby's Survival by Length of Pregnancy
after 24 weeks, 32/35 week (forget which) is the next big day because baby's lungs are developed enough to breath outside the womb
Congrats to the 24week ladies!
