This is a check-in for anyone who had a loss or an EDD in May (of any year). I am so sorry for each one of your losses. I hope that this can be a place to give support and help each other through this difficult time.

Members, give us an update on how you are doing. If I didn’t tag you with specific questions, it’s only because we didn’t hear from you last week (or for a few weeks) - please jump back in. Please pop in and let us know how you’re doing even if you don’t have time to respond to everyone individually this week! New members, introduce yourself so that we can get to know you.

If you get a BFP, please PM me and let me know so that we can congratulate you on PgAL. I try to lurk on PgAL often, but sometimes it’s tough and I might miss it. Please send me a PM also if you are taking a Bump Break.

@KM380 ~ How is this cycle going? Are you doing natural O or medicated? If medicated what are you taking and how is it going? When do you go for monitoring? (20 Questions).

I am back to work after a great 9 days off. Getting up this morning was rough, so hopefully tomorrow is easier!

I am 10dpo today, and will probably test on Wednesday.If it is a BFN then I have a few boxes of wine from our wineries adventure I can begin dipping into this weekend.

Thanks for the check in! Ohh my trip. It's a long annoying story, but it turned into a cabin trip instead with my mil. I predict much venting in the future. Sorry if I don't respond to anything for a few days, cell service is very bad here. I'll be more sane on Sunday

I'm reading If I Stay while I'm on vacation. But mostly I'm writing my own right now.

I am doing an IUI this cycle. I started clomid last Friday (and feel awful!), tomorrow is the last dose. Then I go Friday for u/s and b/w. I'm trying to contain my excitement over here about not poas with OPKs and all that. I'm also just trying to take it day by day since I know you really can't plan anything.

QOTW - I just finished Bookishmomma's book. I think I'm starting "A Winters Tale" next. I am always reading! I also have a bed time book to relax me at night so I'm currently rereading "Mansfield Park"

AFM - yep AF came a day earlier than expected last week. How special. Ugh. Let's not talk about that.

I'm loving yoga! I forgot how much I like it and missed it. I'm finally not so sore anymore after my classes. Ha

I'm very excited about the promotion and hope my company gets the paperwork done and signed off the next few weeks. I'm so glad to not have to travel much anymore.

DH and I leave on Sunday for home - PA

I can't wait! We will be there for 3 weeks with my family and going to Ocean City, MD for a few days. I miss my family, so I'm thrilled to see them again. I will also be drinking lots of wine with my dad

QOTW - I'm currently reading The Book Thief - very good. I usually don't read fiction, so it's been a nice change.

Oh crappy, well I hope the vacation surprises you and turns into a beautiful holiday!! Travelling with IL can be difficult.

I really want to read that book, you'll have to let me know what you think.

Clomid can be hard, I know I struggled with it a lot too. Just make sure you tell your RE and see if femara is something you can try in the future (but hopefully you won't need too!!)

It's always a relief when you finish your OI dose.

That is so great your heading this way for some family time! That sounds like a good amount if time as well. Hopefully you have a great trip and your bodies adjust quickly to the time changes. When was the last time you were here?

@alm288‌ your trip home sounds great! Where in PA? (if you don't mind my asking) We went to OC, MD last year and I really liked. This past weekend was OC, NJ - I think I prefer MD though

@HoldingOutHope‌ definitely unplug on vacation! I have a firm rule on that and it's so worth it

Thanks for the positive vibes! Yep, less than one week until our follow up. I hope we actually end up with a plan, too. I'm nervous, but happy to keep this stuff moving forward.

MH did have his interview and it went extremely well. The company is getting ready to offer him a job, but they haven't started negotiating salary or level yet, so we're really not sure if it's going to work out. It's great to know they want him, and we're excited, but we've made decisions about what we're willing to move for (or not) so it will all depend. We'll see.

We're definitely pumped for Mexico. We never really get to take vacations where we don't check email or put out work fires, but we've both decided that checking in with work will be completely off-limits that week. It will be nice to be able to truly unplug for a few days, finally.

QOTW: I just read "The Fault in our Stars" and loved it. Not sure what I will read next. I definitely need to grab some books for Mexico, but I have a few weeks for that.

@menrandes ~ I hope you are somehow able to enjoy your trip still!

@km380 ~ How exciting to be doing IUI! FX for you!

@alm288 ~ Ahhh, the big vacation back home! I used to get so stoked for my big vacation back to the States when I lived over there. I hope you have a fabulous time!

Well that's exciting! Hopefully it's presented in a way that it makes the decision easy for you, whether to stay or to go. It certainly is nice to feel wanted though.

I just keep trying to remind myself this could be worth it. The first 2 days were fine and yesterday it just hit me. I swear last night I could feel my ovaries working, so uncomfortable. I already called the nurse to ask of that's normal. In my insomnia last night I managed to stay away from google and read up on clomid on the blog. I don't mean to complain, it's just all very new. And messing with my body is you know mildly concerning

Yes from what I've read OI drugs can make you more aware of your ovaries. Sometimes I wonder if it's partly because by the time you're typically taking them you're already hyper aware of your body from months if temping/opks etc. This current cycle I bearly could bend over before O I was just so sore; so I wasn't surprised there were 3 good ones on one ovary.

I get it, I still get nervous sometimes about it all. It's good to educate yourself and ask questions; it's your body. Tttc has great information on their blog as well.

AFM - I am going to test out my trigger today. I missed FMU but I'm going to try it on SMU. Last cycle it was out by yesterday. The ivf overview was good. We got a lot of our questions answered. There were 7 other couples there. It's amazing how common infertility really is. We go on the 18th for our talk. We will sign consents and get my protocol.

The 18th will be the start of my next cycle so it will be interesting want the RE says...IUI or straight to ivf. I know the answer is IVF just hoping we don't have to. We will be in NJ visiting the my husband's father. I will either get AF or get a positive peestick. FX.

QOTW - I love James Patterson and Patricia Cornwell books.

I just tested out my trigger. I held it for five hours with nothing to drink. My husband is on co q10 now and folic acid. My TWW is going well.

TVLily‌ - I was home last over Christmas without DH. It's time to be with my family again.

Km380 - I'm from the State College (aka Happy Valley) area We like OC, MD too - I went there a lot as a kid. I like the boardwalk and they have some yummy restaurants!

HoldingOutHope - That's a hard decision. I have tried planning and based too many decisions on my non-existent family (what ifs). My/Our plan was to move back to the East Coast after we have a family . . . I stopped trying to plan at this point. Life has thrown me too many curve balls. Maybe the job offer will clarify everything. Whatever you decide, I hope you and YH are happy with the decision.

@ashtog thanks for the eye candy! I talked to the nurse and obviously all these symptoms are normal. So I'm uncomfortable but at least not freaking out worrying something is wrong. I'm sorry you feel like you're living last year (((hugs))) It's awful how the timing syncs up like that. Stupid universe.
