OB has Binding Arbitration

Has any one encountered an OB that requires a Binding Arbitration Agreement to be signed before being seen? I was referred to a group that seems to account for 1/2 of the OBs in Orlando that require it. I opted to go to a different one because I'm having a repeat C-Section and I don't feel comfortable waving my right to a Malpractice suit when so much can go wrong (not that I anticipate having to). Just curious what everyone else's experience is.

Re: OB has Binding Arbitration

  • You could still sue for gross negligence, but it's one way for Drs to keep their costs down when everything is soaring. My Dr has binding arbitration and while at first I was hesitant, my last experience was supremely positive.
