"Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" by Frankie Valli. During the, "I love you BAAAAAYBEEEE..." part, everybody started singing along at the top of their lungs. It was adorable and hilarious.
Me: 38 DH: 40 TTC#1 (and likely only) since 9/13. Saw RE 5/14, SA good, AMH 2.36, FSH 7.2, estradiol 69.6 indicating good egg reserve. Using OPKs. First Letrozole cycle 6/14, a burst cyst and a BFN. Second Letrozole cycle 7/14, BFN.
Update 11/14 - had laparoscopy 10/28, good news is that my uterus and left tube look good, and they were able to drain the cyst on my left ovary. Bad news is that right tube and ovary have endo and scar tissue, so they're pretty useless.. Best news is that we finally have some answers and a path forward. Taking 7.5 mg letrozole CD 2-6 to put that good left ovary through its paces.
UPDATE 2/2015 - We switched to another fertility clinic, but fortunately we don't have to start all over. We're doing two cycles of Clomid plus IUI, if neither of those take, we'll do IVF in April, potentially with ICSI. (DH's SA has gone downhill, likely due to excessive exercise.) IUI#1 2/25/15....
Oooh, this promises to be a fun thread. What kind of music do you both normally like?
At Last by Etta James is a classic on my friends' wedding circuit. If you'd like a more modern sound, a few other wonderful female vocalists have released covers.
See here for some classics (slow dances at the bottom of the page):
Our first dance was to "God Only Knows" (Natalie Maines version), it was so lovely and perfect for us. We were married in Santa Fe, and they have a tradition where they play Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" and ask everyone to dance to wish the couple years of happieness. Most of our guests really enjoyed that!
And then we entered the reception and also ended the night with "Home" by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros and it was so fun, everyone was singing and dancing in a circle around us at the end of the night...singing...er...screaming, ha! Before that, we did "This is the Time" by Billy Joel for one more sentimental song and that was fun, too.
Have a great time with the last wedding planning!! Ours was just a couple weeks ago
Those are all beautiful choices! Our first dance song is going to be a fun dance. We are combining two songs and doing a special dance to go with it. We are going to start off with "Amber" by 3-1-1, and then the song will suddenly stop and we will act like we are confused, and then start choreographed fast dancing to Bruno Mar's "Marry You". Then...it will stop and go back to slow dancing "Amber". Cannot wait!
Some fun song we will be playing for guests to dance to are "Gangnam Style" by PSY and "Luck Be The Lady" by Frank Sinatra.
Ours was "Leather and Lace" Stevie Nicks/Don Henley
Our wedding was in the afternoon and it was so muggy so dancing was limited. We got married at marina and reception was on a boat. So not tons of dancing but oddly Dancing in September got people going (and our wedding was in August).
Our first song was "You and Me" by Life House. I don't remember the most fun one. We used a friend of my sister's for the DJ. It was something they did on the side. In hindsight we should have just used a professional. Horrible mike volume and I'm pretty sure they used a generic wedding music disc. I guess you get what you pay for.
Our first dance was "Sweet Avenue" by Jets to Brazil.
I think that the guests' favorite song might have been "Come on Eileen," but I don't remember. Like @lcwed, our DJ was a friend of the family, and he was awful. The music was really important to us, and he messed it up.
Here is the first dance song if anyone is interested:
Our first dance song was by Hunter Hayes "Wanted". Love, love, love the lyrics! The song that everyone went crazy to was actually that song by Journey "Don't stop believing".
Such a fun day! I felt like a beautiful moviestar! Excited for your day! :x
@lgsdesigner - Aw sounds like you have something great planned!!! My dad and i did a fun dance too. We started off with Landslide by Fleetwood Mac and went into a crazy mix with all kinds of craziness, then went back and ended it again with Landslide. It was so so fun! My husband didn't even know what we were doing.
Our first dance was "your arms feel like home" by 3 Doors Down. It still gives me goose bumps when i hear it!
I also had Red Hot Chili Peppers played in my ceremony.... :P
we had a live version of Exactly like You by Nina Simone. Was awesome. My husband found the song and said to me "Honey! I found our wedding song!" so cute we did half the song the 2 of us, and then danced with our moms.
we are into house music and the after party was on the field with a bonfire till 5am and friends (plus DH) were spinning on the turntables.
TTC#1 since Aug 2013, I'm 37, DH 41.
Maya Arvigo Abdominal massage (daily self care), plus TTC meditations.
I'm very sensitive to diet (gluten, avoid processed foods) and environment. Have a history of inflammation and tendinitis before going off gluten in 2009.
July 2014 - RE Visit #1: Eggs look good, Endometrioma on R ovary, HSG showed blocked R tube close to ovary. DH SA normal
DX: Endometriosis probably the IF cause and gunking up tubes. Since egg reserve is high, RE says I can wait a couple months and then get laproscopic surgery to remove endo & clear tube. If that doesn't help then move to IVF.
Dec 2014 - Saw new RE - does not recommend surgery on tube as it isn't likely to help. Doubts I have endometriosis. My endometrioma shrunk to neglible size (yay!)
