Challenge of the Week -
This week is about your mental health. Do you what you gotta do. If that means meditate daily, then do it! If that means it's time to finally find a counselor, then do that. If that means just keep hanging on by your fingernails, then that's fine. Whatever you choose, make sure that you focus on your psychological functioning this week, in addition to your physical health.

Re: FU IF Fitness Check-in August 8th!
For anyone that didn't read the thread, my beta came back at 24, which does not inspire confidence. I've also been wildly sick, so I've been eating crap and hardly moving at all. I even had to take a couple cold showers to bring my fever down below 100. My goal this week is just to survive to next Friday, so I'm in the fingernail group with the COTW. No idea if I'll survive alone or with company.
Hope everyone else is having better times than I am!!

AFM, nothing really new. I'm doing good with my running, not beating the world over here but I'm actually starting to feel like I'm in shape. Yoga has been really helpful. I found some goofy fertility yoga on YouTube and although the lady awkwardly says womb a lot, it's good gentle beginner yoga and I'm noticing an improvement in my flexibility. That said, my BFF is coming tonight and staying for the weekend and I intend to drink and eat like it's going out of style. We were going to go waterfall rappelling but she's injured so it's going to be a less active time than normal!
2013: BFP #1 - M/C 3/13
2015: Dance break = got healthy
7/2016: IVF #5 = BFP!!!
@scooteriste I know which yoga instructor you are talking about! She is pretty entertaining. I'm sorry your waterfall rappelling (what is that? it sounds amazing) got cancelled, but sounds like you'll have a terrific weekend regardless.
AFM- I did join Medifast (holy cow is the program expensive and food is additional!) and it seems to be working- I've lost about 9 lbs since starting on Sunday!!! So I'm kicking butt on my goal, just need to keep up with it. It's super restrictive- you have to eat their food for five meals (100 calories each) and then a "lean and green" that is supposed to be around 300 calories (no more than 500), so chicken or fish and low carb veggies. And obviously no soda or alcohol, so I'm feeling a little like I'm doing a detox ontop of a diet, and that can only be a good thing. I can't start going to the gym for a couple of weeks because my calorie intake is so low, but I'm trying to walk more right now as a start. And maybe I should start that fertility yoga @scooteriste is doing.
Because the program calls for drinking 64 oz, I've been pretty good with the weekly challenge. It seems like I'm constantly eating or drinking on this diet, which is crazy. And some of the food is pretty good.
COTW: I think the mental health challenge is a great one. I need to work on it, so this is a good reminder. My first acupuncture appointment since IVF #3 is on Wednesday, and that is always a good time to work on meditation.

And @pblge.... Beta hell and being sick?? Not nice, universe, not nice. I'm praying that things turn around for the better. Hang in there!!
@Carol77B, whoa! 9 lbs in a week?!? That is impressive! Though be careful with the low cal diet. If you do any exercise (including walking) just make sure to eat enough calories to compensate (you can get calculators online).
@HollowBerry, LOL!!!! Glad it was a good workout even if it was a total time warp!
AFM, 28 days until the marathon

@starlightgator - Glad the training session went well. Sometimes having someone telling you what to do is the ticket.
@Carol77B - 9lbs in one week!! That calls for a Daaaaaaaamn!!
@scooteriste - you made me curious about Fert yoga
@HollowBerry - you post made me laugh!
-----------warning low beta-------
So yeah this wasn't our rainbow baby. Beta#2 came back at 22 so it's going down but very slow. Was told to stop progesterone and wait for AF. Beta#3 in one week and a follow up consult after.
I feel nothing right now. I'm numb. I was starting to feel good again, getting back to me you know. I had lost a bunch of weight become more active changed the way I eat. And now I felt I got punched in the stomach. This now my second CP. I want to stop my brain from running away from me but I can't help but think what if I have implantation issues, what if I my embies don't stick because some autoimmune issue?!
Sorry to be such a Debbie downer

@starlightgator AFM = As for me
@starlightgator - Do you have an endocrinologist, preferably one with knowledge about infertility? That could be a good first step, and one that would probably be covered by insurance. My understanding is that some acupuncturists are better than others about the pain. I did it for IVF #1 and IVF 2.1, but I eventually decided that there were too many needles in my life and it wasn't helpful. Other ladies swear by it, though!
@princessisadora - (((hugs))) Sending you lots of positive thoughts, and hoping that you're not hurting too much from last night! Will you have a conversation with your RE about this? Have you ever had the RPL panel done?
@RunCC37 - YAY!!!! Congrats on the 20 mile run. Serious ass-kicking there! Hope you add another good cheesesteak or similar.
@Carol77b - WOW, 9 lbs in a week! Cray, yo! Can you actually meditate during acupuncture? Impressive!
@scooteriste - We might need the link to that fertility yoga, if you don't mind. ;-) Sounds like you're doing great!
**warning**
AFM, I'm a bit healthier and my betas increased nicely, but still very much in recovery and limbo. I've done a longish walk with the dog both yesterday and today (~2 miles) and wanted to pass out after it both times. Trying to eat healthier, too, so I'm crawling my way back to sanity here. Of course, all this may go flying out the window after Monday, so we shall see.....
***Losses mentioned.*** TTC #1 since May 2012. Me: 37, OH: 41. Ectopic August 2012 => tubal damage.
@pblge never needed to bring up an rlp panel and I think even if I mention it to the RE they may be on the fence about it as I only had 2 CP and some don't count cp as loss
2013: BFP #1 - M/C 3/13

@pblge glad to see the beta improved. Keeping fingers and toss crossed for you to exit stage left right out of beta hell soon!
@Carol77B 9lbs in one week, that's amazing. I'm sure the diet gets easier as you go, at least I hope it does.
@starlightgator I started acupuncture again last week too. I did it a long time ago and since I'm pulling out all the stops I figured I'd try again.
@RunCC37 nice job on that 20 mile run. Do you listen to music while running? That's a long distance.
@justone13 Welcome! I laughed at your zombie run story. I had a dog charge me while running the other day. It was a little dog but still shocked me. I ran super fast after that!

Hi Ladies! So my final beta came back looking good, which I think means I need to ask how people feel about me doing these check-ins. When @penad5 (How are you, gorgeous?) got her BFP, she kept up the check-ins for several weeks, but this is almost a completely new group, so ladies might feel differently about it now. I won't be adding a ticker for a while (too depressing to see the same stages I've never been able to get past), so I'm happy to keep doing it IF folks are comfortable. If not, is anyone willing to take on the role? It's pretty simple--I think remembering and coming up with the challenges are the only hard parts. It's possible that this is a "charmed" position, too, so perhaps that's an extra incentive. ;-)
What do you think?

I do understand that not everyone around here feels that way, so I defer to the group. In the event that we need someone to take over, I volunteer (as tribute. Sorry, had to do it, I'm rereading the Hunger Games series
