I have been a stomach sleeper my whole life. Even before pregnant, I tried to get into the habit of sleeping any other way (because on your stomach is apparently the worst for your back), but I was never successful. For some reason, laying on my back or side just isn't as relaxing as my stomach. When I turn on to my belly, it's like I get lulled to sleep. Not only am I physically awake in bed, but at a certain point I get mentally frustrated and feel the need to give up and roll over because I know it's getting too late and I can't afford the tiredness the next day due getting only 6 hours of sleep.
Alas the bump is growing and while I can technically still belly-sleep with comfort, I know that needs to stop ASAP. Can anyone share tips, tricks, life hacks, advice? I'm willing to try the Snoogle or other pillows/bed items. I'm also going to try harder on weekend nights (when I can afford to lay in bed for as long as it takes to fall asleep) to get into the habit of side sleeping.
