1st ER trip

Dude choked on his vomit this morning and turned blue. He both chokes and vomits a lot thanks to reflux but both together was a fresh hell. It took about a minute of holding him face-down head-down and beating his back to clear him and it was by far the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. Luckily we have a children's hospital really close. He's fine and now there is a copy of his X-ray for the baby book. His swallow study on the 27th can't come soon enough. Mobile crap formatting sorry ladies.

    DH is out of town too. My first true holy crap what do I do panic moment. I thought I'd felt that way before but nothing compared to it.

    It's mine too. He's been choking daily for over a month. I'm shocked they didn't do the study today. I guess he'd actually have to aspirate something before we worry about the root cause. Reflux and GI issues can suck it.

    Omg you poor things. Did u drive there or 911? Was he still blue when he got there or recover on own? So glad to hear he is OK ((hugs)). We had our first low grade fever today and that alone scared me!

    Me-41, Hubby-40.
    1st BFP-8/17/12!  Missed Miscarriage discovered @ 8 week US.  D&C.
    2nd BFP-2/13/13!  Blighted Ovum discovered @ 8 week US. Natural miscarriage.
    3rd BFP-5/22/13!  By early June, progesterone plummeting.  Another loss.
    August 2013 - started Donor Egg process, but surprise BFP with my own eggs.

    I drove him because once I got him cleared his color was coming back and I thought by the time the ambulance got there if be halfway to Children's Hospital.

    I had to call my mom and talk to her on the way because I was a little shaky but I didn't crazy speed or get lost. I am so glad I leave my diaper bag in the car because I would have forgotten it.

    My son chokes on his vomit from reflux, too. It comes out of his nose and mouth and it is so scary like you said. So glad to hear that your little one is okay.
