Thank you for the check-in, Nieko! I really hope your sweet girl feels better soon! It’s the worst when your little ones aren’t feeling well. I hope AF isn’t too far off.

I finished Letrozole/Femara on CD 7 this month and now today is CD 12. I went to my RE this morning to check follicles and lining. My lining looked great (8.5mm) but she only measured 1 follicle at 10mm and said it was hard to measure the rest but that one was the biggest. She said she'd hoped to see at least 3 or 4 so I'm pretty bummed about that. I always ovulate later in my cycle, like days 18-21) so she said that I'll probably just ovulate closer to CD 16 or so. I'm definitely not wishing for twins but I'd love to have better odds of one sticking. I go back Sunday for another ultra$ound. :-< On a happier note: Ward is potty trained!!! He's not even 22 months so I'm super proud of his big accomplishment. My 6 years of nannying has paid off big time. We need to save all the money we can right now so yay for no more diapers!!\:D/

ETA: I have never given a thought to getting a tattoo so I honestly can't say. Maybe I'd get a little boat or a truck with DS's birthday and some symbolic little animals or something for my losses?
*sorry for the gross siggy pic. I don't know if I can look at that all month, ew!

  • Hi @nieko0423 - hope your DD is feeling better soon

@goldengirl84 fingers crossed that the Letrozole does the trick for you!

As for me, I'm just waiting for my operative hysteroscopy, which has been scheduled for next Monday. I'll be CD10. I took off Monday and Tuesday from work for recovery. I'm hoping all goes fine and we won't have to wait too long to get back on the TTC train. It feels like it's been a long time!

QOTW: I'd get a starfish tattoo on my shoulder, for symbolic reasons (starfish regenerate if they lose a limb)

    Hi Ladies <3

I'm in the middle of my 2WW of the 6th cycle since loss.  I'm staying positive but also realistic...we've had really good timing every month since my CP in January and so far no bfp.  So keeping that in mind I"m wondering if any of you already seeing a RE can advise me...did your OBGYN do any testing of any kind before referring you to a RE? If you were charting...did your chart indicate anything problematic to you?  Thanks for any feedback you can offer.  My OBGYN sounded like she would just automatically refer me w/o seeing me again if I reached the 6 month mark and that surprised me.  My OBGYN before was so great w/ advising on what to do to help w/ fertility before I conceived my 1st and she even tested my vitamin D levels...she was just so good and I felt she advised w/ wanting to give us the best chances of conceiving w/o just saying go see a RE.  I don't feel that level of interest w/ my current dr.

My DD turned 2 1/2 last week and starts pre-school sept 2nd!  Can't believe how quickly time is flying by.  @goldengirl84 would love for any tips and/or suggestions w/ potty training!  I'm starting the 3 days of staying home bound w/ her being diaper free in hopes to make this stick...right now she tells me after she goes and wants her diaper changed...obv she's ready to understand now.

@bookishmomma hope all goes well next Monday!  Take care of yourself and hope it's quicker than expected recovery.

@nieko0423  thanks for the check in and hope your little girl feels better soon!

QOTW: I would get birds in flight on my shoulder or wrist to indicate the number of children I have - both here and in heaven.  (after having my rainbow of course)

Do you mind sharing how old you are? Age was a big factor for me in switching to an RE (I turned 35 a couple of weeks ago). My OBGYN ordered RPL testing and karyotyping for me before I starting seeing the RE. That all came back normal, so after our 3rd loss we decided to move on to an RE for further help, given our shortened time frame due to age. My charts didn't indicate anything unusual except perhaps an LP on the short side, but we were able to correct that with progesterone supplementation.

Eta: Nevermind, I just clicked on your chart and see that you have your age in your FF profile. If I were you, I would see an RE sooner rather than later. It's recommended after 6 months of TTC if you're over 35.  I was terrified to make the switch, but I feel so much better about my care and our plan now that we're working with someone who specializes in fertility stuff.

((hugs)) it's such a scary decision, but ultimately I am so glad we switched.

@graceanne927 I second Bookish on finding a good RE. It's been a good experience for me so far and I'm glad I switched. I loved my OB so much and can't wait to get back to her, but for now I think I'm in the right place (i.e. not in a waiting room full of pregnant women). As for potty training: I basically did the 3-day method but since Ward is still so young I knew I'd have to be patient. He showed so much interest that I decided to let him experiment for a few weeks by running around the backyard naked. Once he knew how to make himself go, we practiced on the potty between diaper changes. I made the commitment about two weeks ago and he's done well, he just has a hard time taking his pants off by himself so I have to help him. With poop, I just dumped it in the potty and explained that's where poops go! He caught on pretty quickly. Good luck!!! It was fun but messy. ;)

  • @Neiko0423 thanks for the heads up as well!

I'm 3 days post-mc, so just waiting out the bleeding and trying to keep it together while DD (age 3+) is awake. I took today off of work (she's in pre-school) and went to a movie, which was nice.  I have my next blood test on Wednesday to make sure my levels are down to zero, then I'll be waiting for AF to start charting and trying again...

QOTW: I'd either get a Boston Red Sox B or a lantern (college symbol), but I honestly have no idea where. Maybe my shoulder blade?

I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you better (sorry for no individual tags today!) and giving each other support.

  • @goldengirl84 that is so exciting that Ward is potty trained. I may come to for advise when it is Harley's turn! LOL I hope maybe a couple more of your eggs have a quick growth spurt in the next few days so you get more chances! FX

@BookishMomma FX that everything on Monday goes as planned and you have a quick recovery. Did they give you a time frame after the procedure on your wait time?

@graceanne927 My fingers are crossed that this is your cycle! I do not currently go to an RE, but I have a really good OBGYN office that explains things to me. They just may not like me when I finally get a BFP again as ask for beta tests before my first prenatal check. lol

@MichieU79 I hope you get your + by tomorrow so you get a couple chances to BD before MIL returns. Any idea when she'll be in her new house?

@estamos_tomamos Welcome to our group! GL tomorrow and I hope you have a speedy recovery! I love the butterfly tat for your grandmother. My Eagle would be for both my grandfather and my dad.

@herbavein Also welcome to the group! Hang tight and take care of yourself. Know we are here if you need us and I hope next week you can report a neg beta!

Harley is still not feeling well, but the fever seems to have broken. Now it is just a lot of sad whining and a lack of appetite and inconsistent sleeping. Speaking of which she is up again so I will check back later!

Hi ladies.  Do you mind if I rejoin you even if we're TTA for a while?  I'd like to give support to those that need it while we're on the bench.

For those that don't know me I'm Ellen (30) and my DH is 32.  We've been TTC a sibling for our DD Sophia (2.5 years old) since December and just had our third loss for the year.  My other losses have been natural m/c but this one was a mmc so I had a D&C on Tuesday and we are waiting for the pathology report to see if we have any new information.  So far all our other labs (including karyotype) have been normal so for now the RE is considering us "unexplained RPL".  We also had a loss before our DD, so we're up to 4 losses now. :/  My post-op follow-up with the RE is next Friday the 15th but DH and I talked tonight and decided we're benching ourselves until at least November if not longer.

Looking forward to catching up with everyone again!  Huge hugs to those that need them and FX for everyone trying this cycle!

  • So far all my testing has come back normal, so guess we'll just start back up again next cycle. DS's birthday is next month and he convinced me to have a party, so have been doing some planning for that which has been fun.

@Nieko0423‌ thank you for the special hugs. I actually had an ok day on Saturday. Hope DD is feeling better.
    @goldengirl84‌ fingers crossed for you
@BookishMomma‌ hope everything goes well on Monday! I love the starfish.
    @MichieU79‌ hope today's the day
@graceanne927‌ thinking of you lady. My little guy told me after for months before I felt he was really ready to try. It's not always a sign. Good luck with the 3 day. I know a lot of people have great success with it! If you have to stop and try it again a few weeks later, that's ok too.
@estamos_tomamos‌ @herbavein‌ @ellebelle2384‌ the biggest of hugs, ladies.

  •  I hope your procedure goes well on Monday and that you recover quickly.  I heard that you're a writer, too, and a published one at that!  I have yet to complete my first novel, and I've been working on it for almost a year now, so getting published is a remote dream.

Yes, indeed. I'm novelist. Currently struggling with my 2nd book... the first one came out in March. Good luck with your own writing!

  • Hey Ladies, Sorry I'm late but I new that I had my CD 3 blood work this morning so I figured I would wait so I would have something to talk about.

So about that, I went in thinking it would just be blood work, go figure right? Well I was brought into an ultrasound room and told that they will always do a quick trans vaginal u/s on CD 3 just to make sure you don't have any cysts  that meds could agitate and see how your lining looks. So I was a little taken back but I'm use to them it was fine (and super quick, like 2 minutes). Then I had my BW done and a chat with the doc that was there. I have an HSG this Thursday (the 14th) then Monday I go in for more BW. DH is going to try to do his semen analysis next weekend and so then it won't interfere with us trying on our own since this is just a monitoring cycle. Then after I O I will go in to check my progesterone. Then next cycle we will start with clomid, eeekk!

QOTW: I have 2 tattoos, one on my ankle and the other on my wrist. But I have always loved the stars on the side of Kat Von D's face, but I would never want something on my face ALL THE TIME!

  • Hi ladies! Sorry i'm so late to the check-in. We had a couple storms headed our way last week so it was a little chaotic trying to get ready for them. Luckily they bypassed my area with no damage though.

Thanks again Nieko for the checkin and I hope your little one is feeling better. I hate watching my kiddos be sick!

As for me, i'm on CD 4 today. My last cycle was wacky with a cyst and a trigger so I had a 14 day cycle. I went to my RE today and luckily that cyst is gone but now there's another small one that the doc seems to think is just leftover from the corpus luteum. Hopefully I can start the Femara today and if so, i'll go back to the RE to check for follicles on Saturday. This will be my second cycle of Femara+trigger+timed intercourse. If this one doesn't work then i'm seriously going to think about IUI.

QOTW: I already have 2 tattoos, so I guess i'm past caring about what my body looks like with tattoos when i'm old. I plan on getting 2 more so far: a memorial one on my rib cage for my lost babies and a polynesian one on my foot. I'd also like to get something small on the inside of my wrist but i'm not sure what yet.

  • @goldengirl84 I hope the Letrozole works for you! I'm starting my second round of Letrozole tonight and I really hope it works this time. Yay for your LO being potty-trained!! I remember when mine were it was so wonderful! Now all you have to worry about is getting to the bathroom on time ;)

@BookishMomma I hope all goes well with your surgery and you're back on the TTC train ASAP! I love your tattoo idea too.

@graceanne927 I think seeing an RE will be good for you. There's something about having a doctor who focuses solely on helping you get pg that really gives you peace of mind. I've been seeing mine for about a year now and I have no regrets!

@MichieU79 I hope you guys were able to get in some good BD time before your MIL came over!

@estamos_tomamos Welcome! Hope your D&C went well.

@herbavein FX your betas go down quickly and AF comes soon.

@ellebelle84 So sorry for your recent loss. I have also had 4 losses :( ((HUGS)) to you.

@littlecookie Have fun planning your party. It's nice to have something happier to focus on for a little while.

@mara005 I hope the HSG goes well and GL with clomid!

I'm sorry for the 14 day cycle :( Fingers crossed this is your cycle and you won't have to go the IUI route!
