Hi Everyone,
I am new to the site! I'm not sure the experience I am going through is "normal" or not. I will start from the beginning incase someone has had a similar situation.
In January of this year my husband and I tried for the first time. It was a success! We had just moved 5 hours away from home for his job so I found a new OBGYN. When I called to schedule an appointment it was going to be at week 9. One day shy of 8 weeks I began bleeding a lot at work. I called my husband and he met me at the ER. My levels were over 10,000 so they ordered an ultrasound which confirmed our worst fears, we lost the baby. I had a checkup two days later and then the following week. The second appointment my doctor wanted to do a D&C. I was not bleeding heavy and trusted her as she is the professional. I stopped bleeding two days later but she said I still needed the procedure. I am the first person in a long family history of fertile women to have a miscarriage, so there was no one personal to ask if they had this happen too. After the D&C I had an appointment a month later. I had begun and almost finished a normal period. She encouraged me to try again and gave me my most fertile days to come. We were blessed again with another pregnancy! I called my doctor and they scheduled me for an appointment. At 6 weeks everything looked good, hard to see but still there. At week 7 the sac had grown and clearly visible. She told me my sac was irregular and gave me a 70% chance to miscarry again. If there was not progress at the next u/s I would be headed back for another D&C. At week 8 finally we could get an accurate read on the size of the fetus. What I calculated at 8 weeks she measured 6weeks 3 days. I wasn't very concerned, I have a very small frame and my sister, same size, measured small with all three of her pregnancies. Work became really busy and my husband's schedule and mine kept clashing for a day off together to go see our blessing. 4 weeks went by due to our schedules and my doctor took a two week vacation. At 12 1/2 weeks I left work early to rest due to some red bleeding. That night I ended up in the hospital having another miscarriage. One day shy of the 4 month anniversary of our first loss. With both of the miscarriages I passed a lot of very large clots. The second miscarriage was much worse than the first. The pain was so bad I had to have medication that made me sick. The hospital sent me home before the miscarriage was over. During the night I continued to be sick and pass clots. I collapsed two different times going back to my bed. Husband insisted we go back to hospital. Eventually I was released 14 hours later. The biggest concern I have is it's been 7 weeks and my levels are still at 50. Two weeks ago they were 107. I began what I assumed was a period three days ago. Today I have been passing clots. I have found a new, much better, OBGYN who examined my uterus 2 weeks ago and said everything was out. I have also had coagulant, thyroid, chromosomal, and a few other tests done. All came back fine. It was not ectopic or molar. With it being Sunday the doctors office is closed so I cannot be seen. Has clotting 7 weeks after a miscarriage happened to anyone else? I can tell when I'm going to pass one, it feels just like when I had the miscarriages. I get cramping, nauseous, light headed, and sweaty. I am also A- blood type and have had Rhogram shots. Any similar experiences? From all my research 6 weeks is the max it should take for levels to drop.
