I have almost 9 weeks left til my due date. I'm a ftm, so I am freaking out about "not being ready" when the time comes. Any ideas on what I should pack in my LO's bag, and mine too?
I feel ya! We have actually had quite a few posts about this in the last few weeks, though, so I recommend searching for those. If I weren't mobile and getting ready for work I would try to provide links, but I am ;;)

No. Hospital provides those. They even tell you to take the open package because they can't reuse it.

Biggest items for me: cameras, lenses, tripod, chargers, extra sd cards. Makeup. Undies. Straightener. Nursing bras. Comfy clothes. Boppy pillow. Breast pump. Going home outfit. Car seat. Packed diaper bag. Snacks for me. Medication. A ziplock bag to bring home the baby's hat for the dog to sniff.
Another huge thing: a packed bag for my dog. We are giving a family member a key to our home so that when we need to leave, we won't have to drive the dog to their house, our guy will just stay home until they come get him.

Omg it just dawned on me I need to not only pack to he out of state for the month leading up to my due date but I need to pack my hospital things as well. I seriously would have just brought my normal stuff to stay with family not even thinking about needing things for the baby and the hospital as well. Gotta love pregnancy brain.
Super happy I saw this. I'm a second time mom but had my twins at 27 weeks in a ER c-section so didn't have anything ready... Any one have any idea how long normal C-section stay is? All I hear is "depends on how smooth it goes"... I was guessing its about two to three days - ? . Was in for about a week with the first due to the ER so DH was running back and forth getting me things. Planning on packing this weekend just in case, but praying i wont need it until Oct,

I was in 4 days with my extremely easy c/s.
I plan on making my packing list this week on hold off in the actual packing until around 36 weeks or so.
Ok, here's my (FTM) list that I put together. We're only about 7 minutes max from the hospital, so DH can always run back to the house and grab anything we may have forgotten.

I try not to stay too long as I heal best at home and with my family. I am out after 48 hours (past two times...first was 3 days but also an emergency) and am hoping for the same this time. 48 hours is required after a CS but the main thing is get up and walk. Know your limits but as bad as it sucks the more you're up the faster the gas will pass and they'll send you home! :-c hit me up if you want to talk more about RCS
