HI everyone!  So me and my DH just found out that we are being blessed with a baby boy (DD 10/29) and we fell in love with the name Grayson but are having problems with the middle name Help please!!   his brother is Charles Joseph and our Last name Starts with a D so we were trying to stay away from J and D middle names. Thanks Everyone!

Re: Help! having trouble with Middle names

  • Grayson Michael? That's the first thing that pops into my head but it seems most middle names work with it... Maybe give some ideas you like and we can help narrow?
    Me - J.R. - 05/1986

  • Names we/I like:

    Walker
    Michael
    Cole
    Matthew (DH fav)
    Patrick
    Luis

Are a few but none are "yes that's IT" "love it" names.
  • Matthew is awesome, though I like them all. Here is the list in order of awesome according to me.

    Matthew
    Patrick
    Walker
    Luis
    Michael
    Cole

  • Ah I really liked James. But you said no J. Hmm. Sam or Samuel? I'm liking 1 syllable names with Grayson. Do you have any family names that you'd like to use?

  • I would remove your LN from the OP, especially since you included DS' full name. Safety first!

Here are some options I like. I prefer 1-syllable MNs for Grayson:

    Grayson Bruce
    Grayson George
    Grayson Paul
    Grayson Scott

I know a John Reed LN. It's not too common, but it's not made up or trendy or anything. Keep it on the list if you like it! :)

ETA: Any family names that might sound good with Grayson? DH's name, MN, grandfather names and MNs, uncle names and MNs, even maiden names could work well!

my husband is Brandon Charles, my son is actually named after the two great grandpas....my dad is William.. Grayson William  is OK but is sort of a mouth full .?
  • I actually like Grayson William a lot.
    I like Grayson Patrick too.

    Grayson Paul
    Grayson George
    Grayson Nathaniel

I kind of like longer since your last name is short.

I agree with pp though - you might want to delete your last name from your posts just internet safety stuff...

I like Grayson Charles and Grayson William. :) Only thought is that they're both 2-syllable. If your LN is also 2 syllables, the name might sound choppy. If it's 1 or 3 syllables, it would flow really nicely.

ETA: is Charles 1 or 2 syllables?! This one is stumping me!
