in Pregnant after a Loss
Hi ladies. Would love to join you if I may. I POAS x 3 and they keep coming up positive. Has anyone on this board been pregnant post-ectopic? When did you get excited? I'm happy to see the result, but I'm not elated or excited like I was last time. Instead, I'm really just scared. My husband is out of town too so I haven't told anyone. 

Anyways, hope to be joining you guys for good. Fingers crossed.

    Congratulations and welcome! I personally did not have an ectopic but there are ladies here who have. It took me a long time to get excited and there are still days (I'm 17 weeks) that are difficult. My husband was also out of town when I tested and it was very scary. Hang in there!

    Congratulations and welcome!  I have not had an ectopic, but I know some women on this board have.  As for not being excited, I definitely can relate there.  It took me quite a while to actually believe this pregnancy may end up in us getting our rainbow and to start feeling connected to the baby.  I think I was protecting my heart by trying not to be so emotionally vulnerable after going through one mmc and a cp.  Time, lots of positive affirmations, repeating the PgAL mantras, and the support of fellow bumpies and friends IRL have been my saving grace.

    Congrats on a BFP! I personally have not had an ectopic but others on this board have. It was hard to get excited in the beginning for me too, there were many days in the first tri I was so nervous something would go wrong. It is very normal to feel that way when you are PgAL.

    Congratulations on the BFP! I had an ectopic in 2/13, but I am probably not a good judge on when I will get excited because I had 4 losses. I do have to say I think I will feel more positive with each milestone. For me, hearing a hb will be huge since I haven't heard one yet. I try to take it one day at a time and hope to get past each milestone which to me will help me feel better with each passing day. Welcome!

    Congratulations! I am 12 weeks along after an ectopic in march where I lost my right tube. I was terrified but started to get excited once they confirmed the heartbeat and that the pregnancy was in the uterus. And today after my nt scan I feel much more excited! Every good appointment makes it a little easier. Good luck and just try to take it one day at a time ((hugs))

    Welcome! Congrats on your BFP. It seems like everyone around here handles their excitement a bit differently. I got excited after a good ultrasound at 8 weeks, but it is still different than the excitement I had with my first BFP. Good luck to you!

    Thanks all. Hope to get to stick around and get to know you ladies! I went for my first blood draw this afternoon. Beta is 106 at 12dpo, CD28. We'll see what Wednesday's brings.

    I'm right with you with the lack of enjoyment at this point in the pregnancy. If I ever 'relax' I don't think it will be until I'm out of the first tri. All we can do is go one day at a time and hope for the best. T&p for a long, healthy pregnancy and congrats!

    Congrats and welcome!!

    I have no experience with an ectopic, but as far as getting excited, I just over 15 weeks and still worrying about things. I think I will start to get more excited once I can feel the baby move. I have a doppler to check daily but still don't feel connected or that this could baby could really be my rainbow. I am still hiding from everyone (including my work) which isn't easy, but hopefully that will ease soon.
