  Yes, it could be the plug but try not to worry too much. I lost mine at 28 weeks and am still pregnant at 34 weeks.

  I was gonna say, if that's what it is, I lost mine a long time ago. Like, 10-12 weeks ago. :-O Looks like I don't have that to look forward too now, lol.

  It could very well be your plug, but your plug can regenerate so I wouldn't worry unless you also experience contractions or bleeding. You can lose little pieces of your plug for weeks before going into actual labor.
  
  But if your doctor asked you to call if you had abnormal discharge or even if it will just ease your ind, call your doctor.... that's what he/she is there for.

  When I lost mine it was more brown / blood red than yellow, so idk could just be heavy discharge. Oh btw I wish someone had told me but my MP smelled like something dead...so beware.

  Mine was more of an off white and didn't smell at all... I'm pretty sure it varies from person to person like most things.
  
  Also, OP as PP have said, I wouldn't call my doctor unless there are other signs of labor or was instructed to do so.
