Cramping with a cervical cerclage

Anyone else have cramping?  Not crazy intense but cramping nonetheless, somewhat sharper pain then menstrual cramps....It kept me up most of the night.  I have an appointment today at 10 with the nurse for a progesterone shot and yes, I'm going to talk to the office about it but was wondering if this is 'normal'.  It's most only left side.  Just trying to ease my negative worried thoughts.

Re: Cramping with a cervical cerclage

  • Yes I have cramping quite often. Especially at night.

  • I was at the doctor on Friday for my progesterone shot.  I was checked and they said everything was fine.  She said to drink more water.
  • I'm on day 3 and have noticed more cramping. I'm still spotting a little to. My doc said it was normal but gave meds to relax the uterus
  • Some women will cramp their entire pregnancies due to the cerclage, its normal unfortunately :(. Hope you all get some relief soon! I am one of the blessed ones, I only cramped for the first few days and now no clue its even in there. Hang in there, when you hold your precious LO for the first time, you'll forget all about it!
