With DS I used Earth Mama Angel Baby. I was planning to use the same, but there are so many new products out since I had him. What are you planning to use for wash & lotion?
We are planning on using Dr. Bronner's Baby Soap; I have heard great things about it from friends, and both my husband and I love that it's organic and unscented. I'm a FTM so haven't used it on him yet, but we use Dr. Bronner's soaps on ourselves and love them, so I'm hoping the brand will work well for baby, too.
I'm old school with Baby Magic. I love snuggling with my son after a bath... it's such a sweet baby smell. My son has extremely sensitive skin and we've tried every dry/sensitive wash on the market for babies. Our pediatrician told us that the best thing for sensitive skin is just regular old Johnson and Johnson, Baby Magic, or Dove soap.
I've always used Burts Bees Baby Bee with DD and will continue to with DS
Natural M/C 1.10 MMC 1.13 CP 12.13 This is for all the caterpillars that never became butterflies. And for all the butterflies that never felt the wind in their wings. And for all the hearts that had hopes and dreams of a wondrous flight together.
Regular j&j has been our go too. Nice mild smell, no skin issues. We do love baby aveeno for lotion as well as aquaphor. In general my experience is less is more. Dry skin usually means too much bathing, I still only bathe my boys every other day unless filthy, as per my Pedi's reccomendation. We only lotion/aquaphor as needed.
baby #3 arrived in September 2014...cannot get ticker to work no matter what I try!
We plan on using Aveeno baby and coconut oil! We used to be strictly Johnson and Johnson everything but after reading all the articles about it causing cancer we tossed them out. I have read wonderful things about the honest company too, I'm hoping to try that in the future.
I loooovveeee the way j&j smells. But aveeno smells good too. Who knows what I'll end up getting. Cost will factor in also because I still use baby wash on the toddler with her big girl shampoo, and that girl likes to rewash herself. Pretty cute she help wash on her own.
I'm just using the j&j and aveeno gift sets I got unless baby's skin tells me otherwise. And then I will make sure it's something easy to get in stores, because I don't want to have to be ordering stuff all the time.

Was planning on using j&j til I read this. What?!
I could be wrong, but from what I understand there was formaldehyde in the old formula of j&j which I what these studies would probably be linked to. They have since changed the formula.
I tried honest company on my toddler last night for the first time and it is good. I also like Shea moisture a lot. And I'll continue to use any J&J and Aveeno that I've been given.

If you believe those articles then you should know that Aveeno is also a J&J product....
We both have sensitive skin and we're (more me than him) are big fan of Aveeno so we're going that route.
Also, you can get more information about the products you buy. I had not realized how much chemical there were in some of the stuff I used and once I switched, I felt more at peace , and my skin is not complaining either! www.ewg.org/skindeep/
I got a bottle of J&J as a gift, and we'll see if any others show up at the shower. I'll give anything a shot and see how she responds. Been thinking about this lately, so I'm glad someone asked. I guess all we can do is try them out and see what happens. The only thing I don't want is gluten in the ingredients. I'm sensitive to it, my sister has Celiac and gets skin reactions from cosmetics that contain it, so chances are higher that this LO will be sensitive as well. So, no Honest Co for us.
We were gifted Honest Co. and I have some Fabulous Baby Wash and Lotion from Perfectly Posh that is natural but has been discontinued so I won't be using it long. Hoping the Honest Co. stuff agrees with her skin because I love the way it smells!

Same. It's what I use on myself and I like that the "baby" version is scent-free & mild. We're awaiting our local store to have it in stock this week but still have some samples of another soap leftover from the NICU (I'm too lazy to go and find the name).
I know I'm a little late to the party, but I plan on using Burt's Bees and/or Aveeno. My skin is super dry and my psoriasis can get really sensitive, and I use Aveeno. It doesn't make me flare up or crack and bleed, which makes it a winner.

We're using a mix of J&J and Burt's Bees that were given to us at our baby shower for my first daughter two years ago. I think we have enough to last another two years

I use Up & Up on DS, but I don't want to use it on the baby just yet.
