Boredom during pregnancy

Since I haven't been working anymore, I've become sooooo bored! Anything you ladies do to make time pass? I'm 29weeks and everyone is usually gone all day. My bf usually sleeps during the day since he works at night so can't really do much in our bedroom for our daughter. So ya, anything in mind?

  • I've tried knitting and I just have no patience for it or scrap booking. In other words I'm not much of a craft person lol.

For real? If I had unlimited time and energy, I'd be cleaning my house, making meals and lactation cookies to freeze, getting easy recipes prepped and grocery shopping done for items I can freeze, go for walks, find a birth announcement you like on shutterfly, etc if you are going to send them, look up ideas for newborn photos, pack your bag. Get on Pinterest. And write down somewhere that you are bored because in 1 year, you will not be bored. I can almost guarantee it.

Ok but, does unlimited energy exist when this far along pregnant?

Hey, I didn't think anybody had unlimited energy right now, but I also didn't think anyone was bored! So I'm just sayin'!

  • I nap a lot now, stretches, watch tv, bump, cook, clean, shop/research baby things. I get on YT and watch pregnancy, baby, and L&D stories.

  • @MrsL2B‌ agreed! Life will never be this simple again. We deserve a little break before this huge adventure.

  • Read, and go to the movies. Take a book/computer to Starbucks and people-watch. Go for walks and hikes in green spaces. Cook freezer meals for after baby arrives. Plant a container garden for the fall. Start a blog about something!

OK, so these are all my own fantasies of how I'd spend my time if I had it. But, you know, borrow away. Truly, you will look back with intense longing at these months...

  • I'm a teacher and have the summer off. While I'm not bored, I certainly am not doing all those things! I can barely take my dog for a walk because of the heat and my leg cramps and bending over to clean makes me want to nap. Pretty much, I feel like I'm recovering from a long illness all the time.
To keep myself entertained, I do craft projects, try to clean, watch Netflix, read my husband's book for him, and research things...the cleaning isn't going so well;).

  • Enjoy it!  I don't have any kids yet and I even have so much to do these days I wanna sit down and cry about it.  Damned hormones...

  • I'm 29 weeks as well, I've been signed off work for the last three weeks due to hydronephrosis and I planned on not returning to work until next year after baby arrives, however 3 weeks of day time TV and boredom (partner, friends, family all working) I have requested to go back to work this week, I can't cope with being sat at home doing nothing!

However I did find it useful to get something's prepared, I spent time painting the nursery, ordering baby related things online and assembling flat pack furniture, browsing for the best deals on essentials and just relaxing watching tv and reading books because that's what our bodies need! And my partner loved coming home to dinner on the table every evening and me trying new recipes for cakes etc!
