Rash?

Just noticed a small oval shaped red area on LO's upper thigh. Will call pedi tomorrow but until then any ideas? It's not raised & just slightly rough. It doesn't seem to be bothering here (no scratching).

Could that be ringworm?

We have a dog but I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary (no excessive scratching, etc.)

This would would my guess. My DS has gotten spots in that area that look similar..usually its from his diaper chafing against his thighs.

There's a form of eczema that looks similar to ring worm. My DD gets it. It never itches her, so I didn't think it was eczema. We use hydrocortisone cream when it gets bad. That thins the skin though. I'd start with something like aquaphor first.

Ring worm is typically raised around the edges, so if it is not raised, then it shouldn't be ring worm. I would either rub some coconut oil, or some lotrrimin on it a few times a day, and see if it goes away.

Could also be just a bug bite.
