Recurrent plugged ducts

Any ladies have experience with these ? Been nursing my little man almost nine months now and ever since month four I keep getting plugs on my left side almost on a weekly basis they don't last long and go away within a day or two but still a pain, nothing has changed with his nursing at all within the last five months. Everything I look at mostly talks about plugs in the beginning but I never had any in the beginning just begun around four month anything I can do for them ? Does taking lecethin really help ? Thanks ladies

  • I started getting recurring plugged ducts when I returned to work, and they just recently got better about a month ago (DD is 9 months). I got them often from the time she was 3 months till 8 months. I took lecithin and I think it helped, although I would still get them even while on it. I just recently discontinued taking it. Also heat and massage. Pumping never got rid of the plugs, only nursing frequently. For me, unfortunately, I think it just took time for my boobs to finally regulate themselves. GL!
  • Thanks for the advice ! Yeah I never pump am at home with him until a year so we feed on demand ! I hate them lol so I'll try anything more just annoying and sore !
  • I had recurrent plugged ducts and tried everything to make them go away (massage, warm compresses, nursing on all 4s). The only thing that helped me was lecithin!
