I have been really lucky so far that strangers do not try to touch my belly. Friends and family have, but they ask first and I get that they are excited.
Funny! Thanks for Sharing!
N14 January Siggy Challenge - What Sucks About Work
I wish people would ask if they could touch my belly. That way I could say NO! Unfortunately people just assume they can rub/pat/touch my belly whenever they want.
#1 "Were you trying to get pregnant/Did you plan for this?"
I find this such a bizarre question. I mean, we did IVF so obviously we planned it, but what if we didn't? The only person who asked me was a coworker, too. Which I thought was extra inappropriate.
#2 "Can I touch your belly?”
The only people who have asked were friends and family (and I appreciated and was cool with them touching). If it was a stranger...hell no.
#8 "Are you planning on breast feeding?”
Yeah, I am. But it's none of your business.
I truly cannot fathom all the people getting asked if they're having twins. I am having twins and I would be offended if a random stranger asked that! Seriously. WTF is wrong with people?

Why is it so sad I've heard many of these at work? Every time I try not to hormonally berate my patient. One said, "are you sure you're not having twins? Are you sure your due in November? " as if I could pop a squat right there and push out a couple babies. ... X(
Uh so yesterday for the first time I was ask "You look like your about to give birth any day! When are you due?"
[-X
As me and DH were leaving the store I was like " so the rude comments begin" Then he says "Well if you weren't purposely sticking your bump out she wouldn't have said anything"
:-/
I told him there is no way I can purposely stick anything out it's doing it all on its own. Men! I don't think they fully understand the concept of this. I mean don't get me wrong my husband has been wonderful this whole pregnancy but C'mon Man!!!!!!
i'm so over the obnoxious comments! today i got another one "wow, you're really walking like a pregnant woman" no shit, i'm pregnant!! and my back is killing me so i dont give a crap what i'm walking like. yesterday was "omg, you have 3 months left?? i thought you were ready by the way you're walking" again, thanks i know im walking funny. i obviously dont feel too hot. and my favorite to date this random guy at work looks at my belly and says "so, how's your marriage going" what?!?!

Yes! What is up with commenting on my boobs? They are MY boobs. I know they are ginormous! Sheesh! I get that at work too. I just smile and nod, but one of these days...
I have had 9 out of 10 of those things happen to me in the last month or so. It's been awesome and so far, all of those people are uninjured. I make no promises for my reactions in the upcoming months though.
