lots of movement to very little movement

I am FTM and 37 weeks. All through my pregnancy my LO has been like a lil kick boxer! But all of the sudden he moves very little.... I'm freaking out a little bit I am waiting on a call back from doc. I have tried drinking oj and i ate a snack. Anyone have this or know what's going on in there??? Thank you!!!

It could be that he's running out of room to move. Also, I know my LO has days where he's more active, and others where he's a lot quieter. Hope the dr can ease your mind! I know I always get worried when he's quiet during the day but his activity usually picks up at night. Keep us updated!

My second freaked me out by having really quiet days. She was an acrobat in there, but then would go quiet for two or three days. Hopefully your LO is just in a quiet phase and it's just a part of his normal behaviour.

My Dr wants me to do kick counts once a day and if I don't feel 6 kicks in 2 hours then she wants me to go in for a NST. I wouldn't worry too much though, the one time I went in baby started kicking as soon as the monitors for hooked up. Still, it was worth it for the reassurance!

i agree…i use to say how my princess had her own zumba classes every morning at 10am for about a hr n spastically thru the day and into the night at first..now she is basically chilled out a lot due to her not having a ton of room in there. Don't worry though. Try drinking some ice cold water. That normally does it. Not to mention a lot of movement i.e. you walking or talking or just everyday activities sometimes can "rock" LO to sleep. Thats why i literally try to do a lot of my cleaning and housework after 7 so she is out cold by bedtime at 8/9pm lol

I wouldn't worry unless you go multiple days in a row without any movement. For me I've found that if I'm not getting anything out of eating and drinking, then laying still, if I stick an ice pack on my belly where I think she is, I get something. She doesn't like the cold. My midwife made that suggestion to me and it has saved the nurse line a few frantic phone calls.
