Last night we dropped the last bottle (right before bed). He fussed minimally, and woke up a couple times, but I think that was mostly to do with teething and the resulting cough.
We are on and off. They're not essential for bedtime as long as her tummy is full and she's tired.... But she doesn't drink as much out of as sippy cup at a time as she does out of a bottle, so she gets thirsty if she doesn't have at least one a day.
He still has one before bathtime because he drinks more out of it. I think we could replace it with a sippy cup at this point. Maybe we will try it tonight!
I think it's a developmental thing. At 11 months I don't know if he would have been ready to switch, but now he slurps down his sippies. My pedi told me at the one year to try to transition before around 15-18 months because they start getting very attached to bottles/pacis/etc at that point. So I made that my goal and it has been much easier than expected!
Omg.... Not even close. I tried to transition from nursing to milk in a cup and that was a no go! So we just started the bottle (gasp). It's the only way he's drinking milk. I'll bridge the bottle to soppy when I can function like a human.
When you all say bottles, do you mean you just put the milk in a sippy cup? Or are you all off of milk already? LO gets a bottle three times and day. She is still not holding them on her own and she's still not interested in sippys so im not sure if I should drop any feedings. She also gets 3 meals and 2 snack s.

I mean we are finished with formula. B gets a sippy of cow's milk at breakfast and another in the afternoon. Otherwise it's water or table food.
No bottles here. We ditched the two daytime bottles at about 10.5 months, and then a few days after his 1st birthday, ditched the bedtime bottle. Gavin's really not picky though, and as long as food/milk comes out of something, he's happy, lol!

This sounds like us. He doesn't really care as long as he's being fed and he never even seemed to miss the bottle.
@miss2697 yeah Haddy just gets his milk in a sippy cup. My pediatrician said he needs 2-3 servings of dairy a day so we do milk, yogurt or cheese. He gets three meals and 2-3 snacks a day, just depends.
No bottles since he turned one pretty much. Drinks WCM out of a sippy and nurses twice a day (when he wakes up and before bed) but nursing is basically like giving a bottle so it's not like I "pride" myself of weaning from the bottle.
There
are three reasons for breast-feeding: the milk is always at the right
temperature; it comes in attractive containers; and the cat can't get
it. ~Irena Chalmers
Nope, Wyatt still gets a bottle before nap and bed, and 1-2 at night depending on how many times he wakes up. He doesn't drink enough from the sippy, plus he won't eat meat or any veggies right now. I don't know what to do, he will eat green smoothies. So at least he gets a little veggie in him.
