It is important to DH and I both to have names for our twins that have a meaning behind them. The ultrasonographer is 75% sure we have one boy and one girl, and even though we aren't ready to paint the nursery over 75% certainty, I can't help but think of names! Along with a name that has meaning to us, we do not want our twins to have "matchy" names. We have narrowed girl names down to Harper and Charlotte, even though they have gotten increasingly trendy. Charlotte is my grandmother and we have always had a very close relationship. Harper is after my favorite author, Harper Lee. My grandfather went to school with her and I have always been enamored by her story and life. Now, to pick a boy name......I welcome honest opinions!

Boy Name for B/G Twins 215 votes
Alexander - The last name of my great great grandmother. She is the last one in the family to have twins (she had four sets of twins!).
Douglas - My paternal grandfather. He was an author and an all around badass.
William (no Will, Bill, Billy, etc. NNs) - DH's father. His father died when DH was 18, so he's always had this on his list for his children.
McDaniel - DH's close college friend who died very young. It's not common and is starting to sound great to me.
SS - All of these names are stupid.

I'm a fan of Mc names, but McDaniel doesn't do it for me. I have a McKinnon and love that it can be shortened to Mac.
William and Alexander are nice, but you don't hear Douglas as often which I really like.
If you went with Harper, then I would vote for Alexander.
I agree about McDaniel- middle name it

William is just a wonderful name, and honors DHs dad, so I think it is perfect. I do worry, though, if you are 100% against any nns. It is one of those names that pretty naturally gets shortened. My 2nd choice would be McDaniel, but I'd call him Mac. Harper and Mac is darling.

ETA: whoops, missed your response above. William is awesome. I think William Alexander or William Douglas would be nice
if the girls name is Charlotte than William McDaniel
If the girls name is Harper than Douglas
I have to say I LOVE William and Charlotte and totally think you should go for that!!!!!
