Question for moms that are on their 3rd+ pregnancy (I know there are a few of us here...)
My doctor said something in passing that I found interesting. I told her I felt like my body wasn't really doing much to gear up for labor and she said that it was common the more pregnancies you have the less you notice things like BH contractions or prodromal labor. Combination of being busier with other kids at home, and just being used to what's "normal" for pregnancy causes you to brush off things you may have been hyper-sensitive to the first couple of times.
I'm wondering if any of you are finding any truth to that theory as we hit the end of our pregnancies?
Re: Mom's who are on #3 or more...
I think you are more aware of the pains and such because you have felt them before, but with a first time mom, it might be chalked up to not knowing.
I just had #3 on the 28th. I noticed a lot more cramping and early contractions leading up to labor than with either of my previous pregnancies. With each pregnancy I felt more "signs" before labor.
son#1 born 6/2010
son#2 born 4/2012
son#3 born 7/2014
And be prepared for the uterine contractions after birth if you are nursing. Holy shit balls they were painful. I took the pain meds just for that!
Hang in there. You will know when it starts
son#1 born 6/2010
son#2 born 4/2012
son#3 born 7/2014
This. Oh, the pain!
