N3TR: Anniversary gift for hubby ....HELP!

OK so 3rd anniversary is Leather .....not that I have to observe it but thought I'd at least TRY to come up with something.  1st anni was paper (I got us tickets to a show we wanted to see).  2nd was cotton (I kinda cheated - - - got us some patio furniture we'd wanted for a while.  It had COTTON cushions).  For 3rd, I'm just not sure.  He doesn't need a wallet (he uses a money clip).  I'm at a loss.  Anyone done the traditional wedding gift for 3rd anni and have a good idea?  I'll even take non- traditional ideas if you have them  :)  Any ideas are appreciated!


Our anniversary is 8/20 and I need to come up with something fast!  The other day I saw that hubby signed up for Pinterest.  I laughed at him for it, saying "Can't wait to see your pin boards!"  He responded "I signed up to look at your boards for anniversary gift ideas, silly!"  And then he later told me he found something off my board (conveniently titled "Closet wish list") and that I should get it before 8/20.  Crap! .....

June 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD4-8.  HCG shot CD14.  IUI#2 done on 6/9 and 6/10 (CD15-16) w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW .... BFN
July 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD3-7.  Ultrasound CD12 - 4 mature follies! HCG trigger shot CD12 AM.  IUI#3 on CD13 w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW ....BFN
July 2014 - Repeat ultrasound done to measure size of fibroid - 8x9cm (the size of a grapefruit!) Surgery referral made.
August 2014 - MRI done which revealed 2 fibroids: a 13x15cm fibroid as well as an 8x7cm one.  Super freak out mode over surgery plan.  OB-GYN/surgeon said surgery would most likely have to be a laparotomy (open abdominal surgery)
August 2014 - After a 2nd opinion, plan to take Lupron x 2 months to shrink fibroids then laparoscopic/robotic myomectomy.  Surgery date is set for Nov 21st!  
November 2014 - Robotic myomectomy done (2 large fibroids removed, mild endo found).  Benched x 3 months

    Hahaha love it @Pintobean39!  Damn ....I'm not doing IVF just yet so I can't use that one  ;)  But totally agree - 19 eggs is better than any material gift you could have come up with!

    She's a freak so I fully expected a response of that nature from her!  ;)

    I'm not sure if he would wear them or not but my husband loves cowboy boots. Really any type of leather shoe would count I think! Hope that helps!

    @iPutKetchupOnKetchup - OMG.  Seriously?!  You are awesome!  I love ALL of those ideas.  Thank you!!  I could totally do the sunglass case (he needs one).  And he wants to take up golfing so the log is a really cute idea.  The weekender bag is really nice and looks very sophisticated too.  Wow, I'm impressed!  ;)

    the ideas already are all great! I got my DH a leather jacket for our 3rd. He had been wanting one so it worked out ( I kept the receipt to return if it didn't fit etc). I usually do "something" for the traditional gift but that's not always the "big" gift. So maybe something small that's leather and then just something else you know he wants! GL!

    OMG, I'm so bummed.  I fell in love with the weekender bag (and knew he would like it).  But the site is sold out of it!  Oh wells, plenty of other great ideas from Ketchup  :)

    @Buttmonkey34 -Thanks!  I actually considered shoes before I asked you guys!  But in the past I haven't had great luck buying shoes for him .....I decided then that I'd let him pick his own shoes!  He likes to try them on before he buys them.

    April 2014 - Clomid 100mg CD3-7.  HCG shot CD10 IUI #1 done on 4/12/14 (CD12) ....BFN
    May 2014 - Break cycle to repeat saline sonogram and re-group.  Travel to Kauai 5/7-5/12 (Yay!!)
    June 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD4-8.  HCG shot CD14.  IUI#2 done on 6/9 and 6/10 (CD15-16) w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW .... BFN
    July 2014 - Clomid 150mg CD3-7.  Ultrasound CD12 - 4 mature follies! HCG trigger shot CD12 AM.  IUI#3 on CD13 w/ Prometrium suppositories during TWW ....BFN
    July 2014 - Repeat ultrasound done to measure size of fibroid - 8x9cm (the size of a grapefruit!) Surgery referral made.
    August 2014 - MRI done which revealed 2 fibroids: a 13x15cm fibroid as well as an 8x7cm one.  Super freak out mode over surgery plan.  OB-GYN/surgeon said surgery would most likely have to be a laparotomy (open abdominal surgery)
    August 2014 - After a 2nd opinion, plan to take Lupron x 2 months to shrink fibroids then laparoscopic/robotic myomectomy.  Surgery date is set for Nov 21st!  
    November 2014 - Robotic myomectomy done (2 large fibroids removed, mild endo found).  Benched x 3 months
