Not sure if I'v had false information

I had contractions so called the hospital midwife she told me it's early labour at 37+2 that's fine nothing to be worried about and stick it out at home after 3 hours I'v had nothing else just wondered if anyone else has had the same problem? This is my first so very confusing.

  • They're probably not close enough together to go in yet. Trust me, you're way better off staying home during early labor. You're much more likely to be comfortable and there's no timer on your labor.

  • If the contractions stopped it's likely Braxton hicks... They're basically your body's way of practicing for labor. They're real contractions but they don't get more intense or increase in frequency and don't cause any change to your cervix. If it's real labor the contractions will increase in frequency, length and intensity. Contractions can also be caused by dehydration so drink up!
  • Drink a lot of water and relax.

  • Pants me and the father got so excited when the midwife at the hospital said early labour the contractions come every half hour and didn't get any worse staying hydrated so that's sorted just a waiting game now I guess.
  • Thankyou just so confusing being told things by the midwife then it feels like nothing is happening.
  • Hi guys just to let you all no I went to hospital just to be checked and have been monitored and I am 4/5 engaged and 1cm dilated and still having bearable contraction :) thank you guys for your advise and help.
