A little worried :/

Hi! So according to my LMP my due date was supposed to be 4/1/15, but because I have diabetes and I am high risk they have been monitoring me in the hospital for the last few days to make sure my bloodsugars and everything are kept under control. They have done two ultrasounds one on Wednesday saying I was measuring at 5w4d and one yesterday (Friday) where I measured at 5.9 weeks. Both of them put me behind my LMP due date with 4/4/15 being my due date so the ultrasounds seem to be correlating but they haven't seen baby or heartbeat on either. All they have been seeing are the black gestational sac and the white yolk sac. They won't do another ultrasound until next Thursday now and some of the doctors have been saying they are a little concerned that they aren't seeing baby. My question is has anyone had this happen and everything turn out to be fine? It's making me nervous and it's hard to be stress free knowing that the doctors are "concerned". Also I have asked to get my hormone levels tested and they won't since it isn't a very reliable test so that isn't an option. No pain or bleeding.

    I agree with @qanda2013. If you aren't sure your exact ovulation date, it's hard to know exactly how far along you should be. The LMP just gives doctors a best guess without an ultrasound. Hugs.

    Worrying doesn't help... I know its hard but try to shift your thoughts... Im going thru another type of challenge with pregnancy and all we can do is wait, pray (if you believe) and think as positive as possible to relieve/avoid stress which doesnt help.

    My positive thoughts and vibes to you. :-) I wish you a big view of your baby on your next u/s.

    I just went yesterday and ovulated a little later than I thought so I was 3 days off in Edd - put me at 5 wk 4d and saw gestational Sak implanted in uterus and with internal saw yolk Sak! Go back in 2.5 wks for my prenatal visit - don't stress heartbeat will come :) stinks we were both a few days short

    Are they doing the ultrasound vaginally or on the outside? I have seen on here sometimes its harder to see if it's not vaginally this early in it. FX everything turns out ok!!

    They have done both. I'm sure it will all end up being fine! The doctors were just freaking me out a bit!

    I do! I am type 1! My bloodsugars and pregnancy hormones don't get along! Haha! They have been monitoring me for three days and will for at least another day or two! I hope yours are fine and you don't have to go in like I did!

    Both actually. They have me here for my highs though. I was getting up to 200 or 300s and correcting wouldn't help! It would just stay where it was or continue to go up :( they basically had to reprogram my pump settings.

    This happened to me with my first pregnancy. I measured behind and they didn't see a heart beat when they should have by my dates. they weren't sure if I was miscarrying or my dates were just off. I even then had some bleeding! But one week later I had another ultrasound and there was a heartbeat. I then had a normal pregnancy and healthy baby. Hope that helps.

    UPDATE: had my ultrasound today and there it was! The flickery heartbeat going at 120 bpm and a tiny like .25 inch peanut. I'm so in love :)
