Feeding question

Hi mommies! My little girl is almost 2 weeks old. I'm BF and supplementing due to too much weight loss and low supply. Trying to boost my supply in the meantime. My question is. How much are your LO's eating that are about the same age? Baby girl always seems hungry. She's eating about 2 oz every 2 hrs during the day. Wondering if this is right? Lactation consultant seemed to think so. She has a ped appt Monday so I'll ask him as well. Curious what others are doing.

    We had to supplement at 2 weeks for weight loss as well. I was giving DD the 2oz of breast milk I pumped plus 2-4oz of formula. Now at 5 weeks I've been given the all clear to only breast feed but I'm nursing every feeding then giving her 4oz of formula a for the last feeding only. After having her drop over a pound in two weeks I'm paranoid she won't continue to gain.

    DS was strictly formula fed due to milk drying up and latching issues and he was drinking 4oz of formula every 3 hours at 2 weeks and 6oz at a month old. Every baby is different so if she is still acting hungry after a feeding try giving her 2 more ounces.

    That sounds right. That's exactly how DD was last year.
    With DS he's an eating machine!! He eating almost 4 oz every feeding. He will be 2 weeks on Monday.

    My LO will be 2w on Monday and we are formula feeding and bottle feeding breastmilk, right now she's taking about 3oz every 3ish hours but I'm thinking that's going to be increasing soon, sometimes she just doesn't seem satisfied.

    Our babies have the same birthday! I read growth spurts happen about 2 weeks as well! We just gave her 3 oz and she seems way more content!

    The weight loss is what I'm worried about too. She lost quite a bit. I didn't realize for over a week after meeting with a Lactation consultant I wasn't producing enough. Poor baby.

    I bf and supplement too due to him losing to much weight in the hospital/not up to birth weight/low supply. I will bf him until he will not feed anymore and then if he is still hungry offer a bottle of either pumped milk or formula (pumped milk first and then if I don't have any it's formula). He doesn't take a bottle after each feeding but when he does he only eats 1-2oz. He feeds on demand, usually every 2-3 hours during the day.

    Aw Birthday buddies! YES we are having a growth spurt over here! It's exhausting lol!

    My DD is EBF so I don't know exactly how many ounces she is eating per feeding but it seems like I'm always feeding her. She's a little over two weeks so it's definitely a growth spurt. Sounds like your LO is right on track!

    Nov 2017: IUI w/Letrozole = BFN
    Dec 2017: pre-IVF testing
    Jan-Feb 2018: IVF--17 eggs retrieved, 13 fertilized, 9 frozen and 1 transferred on 2/10 = BFP on 2/19!!! EDD 10/29/2018
    FET Oct 2021: BFP on 10/31! MC at 5 weeks
    FET Feb 2022: BFP on 2/15! EDD 10/29/22

    I read somewhere that babies eat on average 24 ounces and 24 hours. But every baby is different and that doesn't count growth spurts.
