Hi ladies!!! Well I came back from vacation and noticed there was no posting! So even though it's mid-week, let's hear the game plan.

 Anyone else is welcome to join!

  • So last week was a bit of a bust. I took my PiYo and did the workout the day after my long drive...but then the dvd's stopped working! I don't know why the dvd player would not read the disc since it did the day before, but it wouldn't. So after 2 days of nothing, I finally went to the great room and told my family they just have to watch me workout.....so I had an audience for a couple of days. LOL And now that I'm home and in the second month of PiYo, I left them at my parents house! ugh. My mom is sending them this week so I'll have to do other things this week until those come in. Such a bummer.

    Game Plan:
    M: PiYo Drench
    T: 4 hour hike in the mountains
    W: rest.....13 hour drive home 
    Th: yoga
    F: run & upper body weights
    S: elliptical & lower body weights
    S: yoga

    What feels awesome:
    Doing a mountain hike was so awesome. It was really peaceful (I so miss the mountains) and I felt great doing it!
    What feels awful:
    My back! ugh my back is hurting more frequently but maybe getting runs back in to the routine will help. 

    Question:
    So this isn't a fitness question but I post with you all more than anywhere else so I thought I'd ask here. I just had my baby shower and got 2 car seats. We were thinking about returning one because we feel like we only really need one but don't really know. Do you have multiple car seats? Is it a pain to be moving the car seat to a different car if needed?

    What feels awesome, what feels awful?
    Still thankful to still have the energy to workout, but I've had a pinced nerve in my back for about a week now.  It's so painful and isn't showing signs of getting better.  Sitting is the worst, and it's what I do most of the day.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

    @JenMel21 - what kind of pain are you having in your back?

    I think it's finally time to use the body pillow I bought.  I'm 30 weeks and have been sleeping fine without it, but as my bump grows wider, it's getting increasingly difficult to get comfortable on my side.  Anyone using a body pillow?
  • Thanks @criscbish!  I'll try that.  Don't know if it will go over well at work, but I can try it at home.  For your hips, try putting a pillow between your knees to level your hips!
  • I had the baby 2 weeks ago today.  Today I got in my first light walk, taking the baby and dogs for a mile stroll.

  • @JETH119 - The pain is mostly on my left side. Usually it is right under my shoulder blade and I can tell there is a big knot there. Now it's moved to my rib cage area. It's mostly an aching pain but can get a little sharp at times.  
  • @JenMel21 - that's similar to where mine is.  Mine feels like a pinched nerve.  It's been about a week and hasn't really gotten better.  I can't tell what is better - resting or working out.  I've tried both, haha!  Usually with a pinched nerve, I can workout just fine and they go away in a few days.  I'm not sure if the baby is putting pressure somewhere or not...
