Late Term and Child Loss

songs to help with loss

I am one that i need to listen to songs that commemorate/help me grieve.
this is what i've found so far:
that is a playlist of songs dedicated to loss.
This is my fav too:
it's pink's "beam me up" ... she had a "miscarraige" per the news a while back.
*Said goodbye to our angel baby July 30. 2014. only had him for 21 weeks in my belly, missing him every day*

Re: songs to help with loss

  • Here's what I have on my playlist.  Some people like more cheerful and uplifting songs, but I really prefer songs that give a voice to my grief (and anger sometimes).

Weight of Living Pt. 1- Bastille
    Small Bump- Ed Sheeran
    Ten- Yellowcard
The child is gone- Fiona Apple
    Undone- FFF
    this Gift- Glen Hansard
    My Heart is Broken- Evanescense
I would Die for That- Kellie Coffey
    I Grieve- Peter Gabriel
Weight of Living Pt 2- Bastille

  • Thanks for sharing! I love Beam Me Up, This Gift, and the Weight of The Living. I listened to Beam Me Up a few times and had a really good cry. I love and miss my son so much. It's been a little over 9 weeks and it's just been a roller coaster ride. Thanks for starting this thread!
  • "Beam Me Up" is always the one that I turned to. It's exactly how I feel. I love that song.

@sugarstar1784 can I ask why you have miscarriage in quotes? Pink has said herself it's about her struggle with her own loss and a good friend of her's loss of a LO.

Yea absolutely, i saw it somewhere and i didnt bother researching, and i feel like the term miscarriage, while medically correct, doesnt come close to emotionally correct...
