Rolling over

Does anybody's LO still not rolling over? LO is going to be 4m the 9th and he still hasn't rolled over and I'm getting kinda worried I have tummy time twice day ever since I could put him on his belly.

he has awesome head control and is sitting wonderfully but no sign on rolling anytime soon, I know every baby has his own pace but I see all this other babies doing so good it makes me think, am I doing something wrong or may not be doing? :(

Edit : correcting words

  • DS is barely rolling over. He takes forever and gets really upset. He has meh head control. Loves to sit, but is a bit slouchy in his bumbo. Obviously cannot sit on his own. I know you know that all baby's develop differently, but try to believe it and not worry. If LO has head control and sitting up then I wouldn't worry.

  • Coe hasn't even thought about rolling. Zero indication.
  • Aryssa has rolled a few times belly to back. Always scares her and then she cries.
  • 4 months is really on the early end to expect rolling over.

  • Glad to hear I'm not alone in this. LO is 4 mo and has only rolled from back onto side a couple times. We do tummy time daily and she has amazing head control. Sits up with some assistance (less each day). She just doesn't seem to have interest in rolling.
  • My guy was rolling a bit (the accidental kind) but seems more intent on moving forward and pulling himself along the floor on his tummy. He does roll back to side though. As everyone has said, nbd. They roll when they are ready to. I do help my guy roll though - he loves it and laughs a ton! It's hilarious!
  • Just turned 3 months this week so we're a little behind you, but no.... He rolled belly to back three times in a row one day a few weeks ago, and hasn't done it since, and is making zero effort to even try doing it again.

  • No rolling here either, I wouldn't worry too much but for peace of mind check in at your appointment.
  • DS is just over 3 months and has rolled 3 times, he's not very into it, he'd rather "stand".
  • 5 months for my twins and not even close to rolling. One of my friends said her daughter didnt roll until 11 months! She was worried, but her pedi said "I've never seen it asked on a college application; she'll be fine. " She crawled by 1 year and walked shortly after.

  • At the 4 month check up two weeks ago, our pediatrician said even if she hadn't rolled by 6 months that it was no big deal. However, we got our first tummy to back last Saturday and our first back to tummy yesterday! She surprised herself and cried both times.

She was 4 months on July 28th and she barely showed any interest in rolling before that.
  • I must have a very active baby. He rolls all over the place. He started doing it consistantly a couple weeks ago. He turned 4 months old today.

  • 4 months this week and just rolled from stomach to back last night. She hates being on her stomach!

DD will be four months on the 11th, just accidental rolling last week from belly to back because she was laying on a small hill outside. She gets up on her side from her back, but no full rolls yet. I'm not worried, she'll do it when she's ready!
  • My LO rolled front to back 3 times. Also studies show now because of the recommended back sleeping, rolling over tends to be delayed for most exclusive back sleepers.

Chase was 4 months on Monday he just started rolling back to belly last week and he did belly to back 2x I wouldnt stress no 2 babies are alike!
  • 4m 1w here and he only rolls belly to back.

He's so close to going from back to belly but just hasn't quite got it yet. I couldn't remember if it was early for rolling or late (or in between)

    I'm sticking with what @Rrrrrachel‌ says :)

  • C is a little over 4 months, and just rolled belly-to-back for the first time today.  We've been working with him on it (helping him get onto his side, then letting him roll himself back onto his tummy, or over to his back).  A week ago he showed zero inclination.  Even yesterday he was a ways away from actually doing it on his own.  Today he surprised us.  Having said that, he only did it once.

  • Mine did once around 3 months and I think it was a fluke because he hasn't done it since. Really wants to move in other ways though. Convinced it's because his huge head is too heavy for his average sized body and he gets super frustrated.

  • Mine hasn't rolled over since she was 6 weeks though she apparently does at daycare all the time....
  • My first rolled around 5 mos, second at 4 mos, and this one rolled the day before she turned 3 mos. They're all different.

  • My twins are just over 4 months and not close to rolling. Their head control is just ok too. For tummy time they just push their heads into the floor or fall asleep! They will do things on their time.
