We have been using viva paper towels as baby wipes for diaper changes. Today I bought a pack of Babyganics all natural wipes. Does anyone know the "recommended" amount of time to use the paper towels? It has become Hassle especially during MOTN changes. What wipes do you use?

Re: Viva versus wipes?

  • I switch ed to wipes the day we got home from the hospital while we were in disposables. Now I'm using reusable cloth ones because I CD. I think you're fine to switch.

We use cloth during the day and the Medline disposable cloth at night. For the motn change, i always keep a bowl of water by the changing table. We wet the disposable cloth with the water to skip a trip to the bathroom.

If there is a huge explosion in the diaper, we go straight to the tap.

We also keep a bag of pampers sensitive wipes in the diaper bag.
  • I use Kirkland brand. They are soft and cheap.
  • I use Huggies soft and natural from Costco. We used wipes in the hospital and continued when we got home.

  • Huggies natural or sensitive since we got home from the hospital.

  • Yeah the paper towel thing was suggested to us by a nurse and a mommy friend. But I'm over it..wipes or cloth are so much more convienent. FTM here so I just went with the recommendation but seems a little strange to keep doing...

  • Had not heard of using paper towels? We mostly use cloth because they work better as wipes. The disposables are for the diaper bag, and we've Ben using them since the beginning.

  • I've never heard of using paper towels either
  • We were using wipes in the hospital! Once home, we've been using Target brand sensitive wipes with no issues.
  • Also never heard of paper towels.

I love babyganics and subscribing to the 4 pack box on Amazon makes them so much more affordable.

We were gifted Pampers Sensitive wipes and tried them when we had a lapse in babyganics and it was the first time my daughter got a tiny bit of diaper rash. Stopped using them.
