TTC after 35

Ovulation time is interesting.

Right when I'm about to ovulate or did ovulate, men stare like they've never seen a women before. I was at Chipotle for lunch with my fiance, and this guy licked his lips and grinned as he looked me up and down (he quickly stopped with FI shot him a look). Another gave me a 'free drink' but not one for my fiance and another guy yelled from his truck "I say godddaaammn!" Now-- I am wearing a fairly conservative work outfit of dressy capri pants and a sleeveless yet classy blouse. It's not like I'm wearing a tight dress and high heels...

I don't know if it's because I look better when I am about to O (better skin, glow to my face, bigger breasts, overall prettier), or if men are just pervs, but it happens EVERY.TIME I ovulate.

Anyone else notice this? Is your SO/random strangers much more attracted to you during O time?

  • One more cycle and look out Mr.lgsdesigner!!!!

My husband notices people looking at me but I never do. I tend to ignore the world when we are out. I will have to pay attention to what time if month it is. My husband definitely doesn't respond to ovulation time.

  • I truly believe that I feel sexier when I'm ovulating.  (I'm certain I must be ;) )  But as a result of my sexy self awareness, that confidence boost exudes "hotness" that men definitely detect!  Whether they smell it, see it, feel it, or what.  They don't even know what hit 'em!
  • that sounded weird for me to say I find myself more attractive, I meant more of what @crankstergangster stated, I am aware of my sexuality and feel more attractive... I definitely believe pheromones play a role.  I also think some people have higher sex drives and they are kind of always looking.... women included, and those people (of which I consider myself one) "notice" one another.  Hope that makes sense.
  • @kelley72 and @crankstergangster - Yes, that's exactly it, and it does make sense! When I am ovulating or around ovulation, I feel like a guy in the fact I also think about sex a lot more. I get fantasies in my head and the smallest things remind me of sex or get me aroused.
Last night, we went to the gym, and just seeing my fiance's sweat rolling off his chest made me hot. His voice sounds sexier, even. It's all very interesting to me!
  • Well @lgsdesigner, I'm getting hot just reading back thru this post!  LMAO!  I think maybe your DH's sweat turns me on too!
    :))
  • @crankstergangster - Oh yeah? Well...here is a close up shot of his sexy muscles just for you. ;)

This is so interesting.  I work with mostly women, so never really noticed.  I will definitely try to start paying more attention.  It makes sense, as most animals have some scent or ritual they perform when they are fertile to attract mates.  The song quote above is perfect.

  • (child mentioned)

I usually walk around with DS strapped to my chest or back in an Ergo, so I think that's pretty much a man repellant.

I used to work in an office and wish that I would have paid more attention around O time.
