  mmmm. All five!? Yes, please and thank you! My RE told me to take it until 12 weeks. I told my RE that I felt nervous about stopping it cold turkey and wanted to taper it down, which he was ok with.  I had been taking it twice a day, roughly 12 hours apart. This is how it went the day after 12 weeks:

  
  

  Take it every 36 hours for 3 days, then every 24 hours for 3 days, then stop.  I didn't have any spotting and it eased some of my fears about stopping.

  BFP #1: EDD 4/16/13~~blighted ovum w/ 2 gestational sacs~~Loss on 9/18/12
  BFP #2: EDD 9/3/13~~Slow HB at 1st U/S~~MMC -Loss on 2/13/13

  9/13, 10/13, 1/14: letrozole + trigger + TI = All BFNs

  3/14: IUI#1 letrozole/Bravelle/Menopur + trigger = BFN

  Infertility patient here, so take that into account.  I was on progesterone in oil shots this time around until the end of week 13.  In previous cycles I was on a gel for the same amount of time. 
  
  I don't have any progesterone issues, but progesterone support is standard at my IF clinic.
  

  
  
  
  TTC since 2008
  Dh:34, no issues.  Me:31, Endo, slightly hypothyroid, deformed ovary, paracentric inversion.
  4 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone +TI cycles= all BFN
  Lap in 2012 to remove large unresolving cyst discovered endo and double lobed ovary.
   6 Gonal-F, Cetrotide, HcG, Crinone IUI cycles= All BFN,
  1st IVF w/ICSI- June '13 Antagonist: Gonal-F, Menopur, Ganirelix, HcG, Estradiol, Crinone= 7 retrieved, 4 mature, 1 unfertilized, 2 abnormally fertilized, 1 normally fertilized.  2DT of only embryo and our miracle BFP.
  Our beloved baby boy was born sleeping Oct. 13, 2013 due to pROM/IC/Uterine infection.
  2nd IVF w/ICSI- Feb. '14 EPP/lupron/antagonist: Estrace, lupron, HGH, Gonal-F, Menopur, HcG, PIO, lovenox, doxy/dex.=21 retrieved, 16 mature, 15 fertilized!!  5dt of 1 blast/ 6 frozen.   My RE and OB both recommended I stopped taking it at 10 weeks. I was scared to stop, but everything was fine. I'm now 36 weeks and baby boy is perfectly fine. Its super scary when it comes time to stop it!

  BFP #1 7/23/12: EDD 4/1/13.  MMC discovered on 9/4/12 @ 10w1d
  BFP# 2 3/9/13:  EDD 11/12/13 m/c 3/15/13 @ 5w3d
  RPL testing shows one copy of MTHFR gene mutation. 

   BFP#3 12/24/13: EDD 9/5/14 Beta #1 13 DPO 168! Beta #2 16 DPO 895!

   First US 1/9/14 @ 5w6d Strong HB!

  2nd US 1/23/14 @ 7w6d baby is still doing great! 3rd US 1/31/14  9w0d: Beautiful wiggly baby! Keep growing baby!

  I was supposed to take it until the end of first Tri but had to stop early because I had a bad reaction to the continuted pantyliner use and twice daily insertion. My poor lady parts just couldn't take it.

  With DD, my RE had me stop at 10 weeks. I'm not sure about this time since I'm with a different RE.

  I stopped around 14-15 weeks per my RE's weaning instructions.  I weaned for three weeks before stopping completely.  I had been taking 400 mg 3x/day so I guess the weaning from such a high number was what kept me going so long.

  
  

  I will note that at my 16 w appointment with MFM when my cervix was looking borderline short, they told me they would likely start me up again on progesterone.  Luckily it self-corrected and I didn't have to do that.  I almost cried b/c I had just stopped using the suppositories and it was like, "no, not again!"  I was so sick of sticking stuff up in my ladyparts!!

  Was on compound capsules vaginally until week 10. Now he says I have to start p17 shots at 19 weeks until I don't know. I hate needles and scared to death:( I wish he would let me do suppositories again:(

  My RE had me quit cold turkey at 10 weeks. I was on 200mg oral prometrium and felt like it was a "just in case, can't hurt" type of thing.

  I'm a SS because I'm on both progesterone injections (PIO) and Endometrin/Crinone.... my PIO will stop when released from my RE to OB at 8 weeks and I'll stay on the suppositories until 11 weeks.

  Me: 33, Endocrine issues & FVL       DH: 32, Nothing 

  NTNP 2009-2012         TTC since 2012:

  • Clomid, 2 IUI cycles, and 5 IVF cycles = BFN
  • FET #1   August 2013 = BFP!     EDD 5/11/14
  • Jack dx at 19w1d with Dandy Walker on 12/16/13
  • Severe Pre-e /HELLP set in Jack born sleeping at 20w1d on 12/23/13
  • FET #2 --July 2014  BFP!  ---  EDD  4/5/15

  With DS I stopped at 36 weeks. Currently I'm 17 weeks and no sign of stopping any time soon. I wouldn't be surprised if I'm on it well into 3rd tri again.

  I stopped taking it during the 10th week.  I had my last appointment with the RE, an ultrasound, and a round of bloodwork to clam my nerves before I stopped.  Then, I had another u/s at 11 weeks when I moved over to my OB. 
  

  
  TTC started Oct '10
  Me: AMA w/RSD, atypical PCOS w/IR, LPD and High Prolactin. Controlled HP post-loss.
  DH: Low-T and borderline morph
  18 cycles, 3 medicated w/RE to get to a BFP!
  EDD 9/7/12, Saw HB @7w3d,missed m/c 1/30 @8w3d, d&c 2/8
  11 AL cycles, 9 medicated/IUI cycles. All BFFN!
  Moving forward with IVF
  BFP#2 our little cycle break surprise on AL cycle 12! EDD 10/27/13
  Beta #1: 41 Beta #2: 398; perfect u/s 3/11 hb @133bpm
  u/s 3/25 one perfect hb @183 bpm, adjusted EDD 10/23/13
  MaterniT21 and carrier screens normal. It's a girl!!!

  I will be 12 weeks this coming Saturday and that will be my last day taking progesterone suppositories twice a day- WOOOO HOOOOO!! I am psyched about being done The side effects are the pits, and it's unpleasant to take.
