Question for second time mom's who have already given birth

Did you go earlier or later with your second??

I was 5 days early with my son but I think I am going to go over this time.

3 weeks early based on EDD but 2 weeks early from my RCS. So different from my first where I was induced at 40 weeks.

My OB (he's been practicing for a LONG time) thinks that most women go about the same amount of time which each kid. So if you had your first at 37, expect others to be around the same. I had my first at 39 and 3 or 4 days so I'm hoping that means I'll be having a baby really soon.

I had a scheduled induction with my second so I don't count that one.

Haven't had this LO yet, but DS was born at 37w4d and I am already past that at 38w this time.

39w 3d for my first, 39w 5d for my second, I'm currently 39w 1d and hoping that I go anytime....

DD was 2 days early and I am being induced 4 days early this time unless I go into labor before hand.

My first I was induced on my due date because of hypertension. I'm 39w4d and not sure when to think labor will start. I've been dilated and effaced the same as I was with DD since 37 weeks.

Very interesting. Thanks for the responses. I honestly hate the wondering of "when is she going to come." My son turns 2 the 15th so I am ready for her any time after that. I am duet he 27th.

I was really hoping that baby #2 would come sooner and quicker. According to my OB, they do come quicker (as in shorter labor) typically but not necessarily sooner. She said all pregnancies are different. It's going to be a long month. (Sigh)

First was on her due date. Second was a day early from due date. First was 14 hr labor with an hour worth of pushing. Second was 7 hours with only 2.5 pushes to get him out.

I went early but i was induced at 36 weeks due to pre-e and in utero growth restriction.
#1 was born at 39 weeks, 5 hr labor and close to 9 lbs
#2 was born at 36 weeks, 20 hr labor, vacuum suction used due to heart deceleration cord wrapped around neck twice and was only 3 lbs 7 ozs

My ob also suggested that most woman have similar length pregnancies. I was 40+5 and then 39 +5...

First two DD came at 37 weeks, but my third DS was a RCS at 39w1d. Up until the day of my c/s, he seemed content to stay in forever.

My first was 2 weeks early...my second was 3 days late, however, my labor was obviously way shorter with the second! My first labor was 14 hrs from the time my water broke to when he was delivered. My second was 4 hrs from the time my water broke to LO being delivered!
