I had the onion ring thing a few months ago. I waited about 3 or 4 weeks then finally gave in. (They were disappointing - but at least I shook the craving.)
Nothing strange here.......just donuts. Powdered donuts....chocolate donuts....Boston cream donuts....glazed donuts.....Apple fritters....yeah. Just all the donuts.

It changes week by week with me. One week I craved and ate nothing but avocados. Another week I wanted nothing but peaches. This week we're on watermelon. I've eaten 2 monster ones since we went to the farmer's market Sunday. I do have to say that my weirdest, and most continuous cravings are garlic crabs and smelling the ocean. We live in North Jersey and are about an hour or so from the beach and have an unlimited supply to fresh seafood. Unfortunately, I'm not taking chances with the crabs. But at least once a week I beg my husband to take a drive down so I can get my ocean air "fix" and a few garlic shrimp instead, lol.
Nothing weird here right now, but my grandma told me that she craved the smell of new tires when she was pregnant with my aunt! My grandpa was a mechanic so he used to bring some home for her!

Whats wrong with crab? I would totally eat the crab.

When I was pregnant with ds I had pica in my 3rd trimester, I could of (but didnt) drank bleach, or eaten a pumice stone.
Had a bad experience with bad crabs last year and food poisoning ::shudder::

Selective reading.
AFM: I really haven't had any strong cravings (at least not any more than I had when I wasn't pregnant). The only strange thing was when I walked by an area where people smoke outside our office and thought the faint smell of cigarettes smelled good. I don't even smoke! I have no idea where that came from.

Bacon. My non-pregnant self doesn't eat bacon or any kind of red meat, but there is a turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich at Subway that I just love. I just polished off some bacon cheddar potato wedges from Jack in the Box while thinking "where have you been all my life?"
I also have been craving mint ice cream with oreos all week and today I got an amazing mint Haagen Daas sundae with fudge and oreos that was To. Die. For.
Yeah...today has been one big health fail. I told myself I was being healthy by drinking a protein powder drink with "superfoods" (kale, broccoli, etc.) in it. My lunch was that and some McDonald's french fries. Sorry, baby.
During my first pregnancy I craved the smell of dryer sheets. We had a horrible washer and dryer (we lived overseas) so the only way to smell clean laundry was to sniff the dryer sheets. This pregnancy I just started craving the smell of clean laundry. We have an amazing washer and dryer now so I just want to do laundry all day, everyday!!! I don't want to fold any of it, but I just want to bury my face in it.

Now? Nothing out of the ordinary.
I was craving onion rings too really early on! Had them a few times before finally getting a blooming onion because that was really what I wanted. Since then though, no weird cravings. I keep waiting to want something strange like my friend and her pickle and cream cheese sandwiches!
No wierd cravings yet. At the beginning all I wanted was cheese and milk. Which now both are giving huge digestion issues.
I have found that there are some foods that taste more amazing now that I am pregnant. I had a mango the other day that was so freaking delish that I could have eaten 10 more. (Mangos never taste that amazing here. It just takes to long to ship them to here where I am in Canada, that they lose all their sweetness.)
I have a jar of Peanut Butter on my desk that I eat by the spoonful! My boss asked me if I should be eating that...something about the baby may be allergic? I told him he was crazy.
I may have read it on here but I've been wanting a PB and Jam sandwich cooked like a grilled cheese in the worst way!
Nothing strange here.......just donuts. Powdered donuts....chocolate donuts....Boston cream donuts....glazed donuts.....Apple fritters....yeah. Just all the donuts.
With my first son it was all about peaches and nectarines... and pizza.
With my second it was all about oranges and salad, of all things. So healthy. I would go to Olive Garden and eat the entire salad bowl myself then ask for a refill. And meat! He broke my fifteen year vegetarian streak when I got down to the last few months, was anemic, and craved red meat hard core.
Now? Thai food. All the Thai food. And I totally have a nauseating aversion to pork. Baby girl likes spicy, does not love meat.
