Clomid Question - Child mentioned in siggy**

Hi everyone, for those of you using Clomid, on what cycle day do you typically ovulate? Whether or not I use Clomid, I have always ovulated on my own, but the RE suggested I try a few cycles of 50mg. Regardless of Clomid, I have usually ovulated later, around CD 19-23. The RE did not see an issue with that, since my cycles are a little longer, anywhere from 30-35 days, and my period typically starts 2 weeks after I get a positive ovulation result. I had a yearly checkup with my GYN today, and she asked how things were going. I explained everything, and she thinks it's unusual that I ovulate that late in my cycle since I am using Clomid. The RE seemed to think it was totally fine, so my instinct is to trust her since she is the specialist. Right? Because now I'm wondering!

Thanks! My instinct was definitely to trust the RE since I asked that question specifically. The OB made it seem like with Clomid I should be ovulating on Day 14.

My cycle is like clock work and I ovulate CD12/13 on my own and on Clomid. Def trust your RE. It's been hard for me to put so much trust into someone, but I am learning.

I ovulate later than typical on Clomid.

As you can see in my siggy, I conceived my daughter using Clomid, and I ovulated late that cycle, too. I always went through a ton of OPKs before finally getting a smiley. Good luck!

I almost always ovulate CD 14 with clomid but I have heard a lot of women say they tend to ovulate later. I would definitely trust your RE. They are the experts for a reason!

Since you asked.. I've done a lot of research on clomid and it seems like not everybody takes it the same - some people start on day 3 and some on day 5.. Why is this? And does it make you ovulate at a different time?

I have noticed this too, but I'm not sure why. I think it's partly what your RE thinks is best? I'm sure there is a reason though!
