Hey ladies. I am currently in the 2ww (2dp5dt) of my first IVF cycle. We retrieved 13 eggs, 8 fertilized and on day 3 all looked great. By day 5, 4 arrested and we had 4 grade 1 (scale of 0-8 where 0 is the worst and 8 is the best) blastocytes. We transferred 2 because they were considered "poor" quality. We found out today that the other two did not grow enough to freeze. So, all our eggs are in one basket as we cannot afford another IVF cycle right now. So, I'm looking for hope. Any success stories with "poor" quality or grade 1 transfers?

Re: Looking for success stories with "poor" quality embryos
Oh your story sounds so similar to mine...21 eggs retrieved, 15 mature, 13 fertilized- 6 w/ traditional IVF, 7 w/ ICSI. We were thrilled.
Fast forward to day 5 transfer- 5 left, all poor quality. Almost all behind in growth. Transferred 2- a very early blast and a morula. (For some reason our embryologist wouldn't even tell me a grade? Which I thought was a load of bs and already made plans to go to another clinic.) Our 'blast' looked nothing like those perfect 4AA- hell it wasn't even circular, rather an oval. The next day, found out the last two also arrested.
We believed it was over. One early blast? From 21 eggs? Devastating.
I really and truly had to hold on to the tiniest sliver of hope just to keep my sanity. My rational side was trying to envision another round of IVF which just didn't seem doable.
Well, one of those stuck and I am 15w3d today! I know how hard it is. Please try to keep the hope!
