No mold. I just checked after opening this post.

ETA - we only use it for a couple naps during the day

  • Nope we've never had mold in the 2 years we've had it, but it is apparently a common problem with the RNP.

  • Oh my! I'll have to check mine. I dont think it will have mold because I cover it with a blanket but I will let you know!
  • I don't think so. I just washed it about a week or two ago and didn't notice.
  • I just checked ours and there is no mold but we don't use it that much anymore either.

  • I've never had a mold issue with them and my PNP is 5 years old.

  • The cover says you can wash it and even put it in the dryer. I think there was a recall with this mold problem a few months back but I've never had a mold problem, DS sleeps in it every night

  • Ours was collecting moisture because 1.  we were running the AC,  #2, had a blanket lining it, and #3 Logan is a sweaty baby with reflux.  BTW, check your car seats, swings, and bouncers, we've learned since we have a baby that spits up a lot we have to wash stuff about once every week and a half to prevent things from molding.  Luckily everything can be washed in the washer and then just set out to dry overnight.

  • Yep, there was a "recall" or manufacturer warning on them a while back because of this issue. Just wash the cover and it should be fine. We line the RNP with a breathable muslin blanket to help prevent mold from spit up or sweat.
