Do you make yourself eat?

I tried a new recipe this morning for oatmeal pancakes and I ate two and they were super heavy.  That was four hours ago and I'm so uninterested in eating.  This is seeming to be the norm lately - I know others are starting to have first trimester-like disinterest in food.  So, do you force yourself to eat?  Snack?  Or just skip it?

  • I force myself to have a small healthy snack, like an apple or cheese stick, when I'm not hungry at lunchtime.

    Even if I never get hungry, if I don't eat I feel TERRIBLE for the rest of the day.

  • I use to force myself when I wasn't gaining weight and I was vomiting but not now. My midwife would be fine with me maintaining at this point I think.

  • I went all day on Saturday until 7pm before I realized I'd forgotten to eat all day. I have days where I'm ravenous but others where food is the last thing I want. Like today. I was working through lunch and just feel like shit trying to eat now even though I know I should. Ugh...it's awful to force myself to eat...especially protein since that's the heaviest thing to eat. Protein shakes have really been my friend lately to augment my lack of good protein.

  • Yup. I haven't really gotten hungry since early first tri, I just start to feel wrong if I go more than a few hours without something. Either nausea or lightheadedness or something else. So if I start to feel off I make myself eat even though half the time nothing sounds good.
  • My stomach rarely feels hungry anymore, but I know I need food when I start feeling tired and emotional.
  • That's happening to me a lot lately as well. I usually have a small snack like granola bar or piece of fruit. My body has done a pretty good job at telling me when it needs to have food so if it doesn't I try not to eat because then I feel like I've eaten too much. I try not to skip completely.
  • I did a bit in the beginning. But as of right now. I am eat all 3 meals with some fruit snacking in between times.

  • Nope.  I eat when I feel hungry, (which is all the time) b/c I feel like shit if I force myself to eat.

  • My appetite's been really bad at dinner especially for the past couple of weeks; I just seem to get full really quickly.  I do try to at least snack if I haven't had enough calories yet that day.

  • When I'm not pregnant, I usually don't get hungry until about 1-2 in the afternoon. When I am pregnant, I am an EAT ALL FOOD type of person. Probably why I've gained 30lbs already, but I'm okay with it. I have a goal (going to the Dominican Republic in summer of 2016) for getting back in shape after baby, and I'll be working my ass off.
