The cover says you can wash it and even put it in the dryer. I think there was a recall with this mold problem a few months back but I've never had a mold problem, DS sleeps in it every night
Ours was collecting moisture because 1. we were running the AC, #2, had a blanket lining it, and #3 Logan is a sweaty baby with reflux. BTW, check your car seats, swings, and bouncers, we've learned since we have a baby that spits up a lot we have to wash stuff about once every week and a half to prevent things from molding. Luckily everything can be washed in the washer and then just set out to dry overnight.
Yep, there was a "recall" or manufacturer warning on them a while back because of this issue. Just wash the cover and it should be fine. We line the RNP with a breathable muslin blanket to help prevent mold from spit up or sweat.
