Help with baby boy names.

So DH and I are having a hard time agreeing on names. This is baby boy #2 for us and I feel like boy names are so hard!!! Here's a few we both agree on:

Jack
Jackson but call him jack
Mason
Brady

DD us Emma and DS is Noah so popularity doesn't bother me. Thoughts on these names or suggestions for others would be appreciated :) thanks!

Re: Help with baby boy names.

  • I prefer Jack or Jackson over the others.  Sorry I can't help much more--this is our first boy and we still haven't come up with a "short list" of names!!

  • I love Jack...obviously, since that's DS1's name. I think it fits very well with your other two kiddos. :)
    DS1 8/11/10
    DS2 8/21/12
    DD 9/26/14

  • I love the name Jack and I think it works the best with your other kids' names. But they're all cute so I don't think you can go wrong with any of your choices.

  • I always liked Jackson (Jack for short). If we were having a boy we were going to name him Donovan.
  • I would say that having 4 names you agree on, is great! DS1 was named based on the one name DH and I liked and it looks like it might be the same for DS2.

    I like Jackson the best.

Your other son's and daughter's names end with an "uh" (short a) sound. Did you want to continue that or avoid it? Other examples: Elijah (nickname Eli), Luca (or "Luke"), Isaiah, Joshua (Josh), etc. Personally, I love Jack, but all your choices are good ones.

  • Jack is such a great name! Mason is one of the most annoying names to hear a little kid say repeatedly. For a few summers in a row when I would visit my sister, we'd hang out by the pool and there was always a little girl trying to get this boy Mason's attention with the most irritating inflection. "Mason! Mason! Mason!" I just can't with that name!
  • Jack!

But I prefer Jack as a nn for John (not a fan of Jackson), or as a stand-alone name.

  • Brady or Mason.
Your other kids don't have names which can be shortened into a nickname.
