I haven't had any junk food in four days! Normally, this isn't a big deal, but considering the habits I'd developed in the end of my pregnancy/first 4 weeks PP, this is a huge accomplishment. We've walked 2/3 days, so I'm on track to exercise 5 days this week. It's getting a little bit easier to make healthy choices - having just a few days under my belt always gives me momentum.
I asked the question about weekend motivation a little bit selfishly. This is one of my huge downfalls. We have get-togethers almost every weekend. I'm embarrassed to have people know that I'm "on a diet" or whatever you call it, so I hate being the only one in a crowd who doesn't try the super awesome dessert. I just need to grow a pair.
@MommaP12, that's a good way to think about the weekend! I think I'm going to see if DH will let me exercise right away in the morning on Sat/Sun. Usually if I work out in the morning, I don't want to un-do it just hours later. Thanks for the thought.
I've still been eating like it's my job, but after going to the dentist yesterday and having cavities for the first time in years (WAAAAHH), it's officially time to swear off the abundance of sweets. I've been getting in my long weekend training run, so I'm actually more committed to health on the weekends than during the week, when I often opt to just sit down at the end of the day instead of working out. I am 15 pounds over my goal.
I've ran 5 miles so far this week. Eating has been kind of hit or miss and I haven't started tracking my calories yet. Weekends, I actually tend to do ok. I feel like I have more time to exercise and since I don't keep junk food at my house I tend to eat healthier.
I started 30 day shred on the 1st but skipped Sunday bc I was depressed. I've done it the past few nights and I'm starting to feel something change. I'm proud of my self.
As for weekends, it just feels like another day to us since we work retail and work most of them. And we doing go out that often. Sorry no help.

So try the dessert. A 'try' does not have ot be a full slice of whatever, it can be 2 bites. That will not undo your week. Start working on dessert restraint. It gets easier.

I haven't started my 30day Transformation challenge yet but I watched the video for day one and I am so excited to get started. I've been so busy I just can't! I got the nanny hired today though, an the dentist appointments made for September, and Summer's 3yr well baby check is today so I know my list of things to do is starting to whittle down.
My setback is my relationship issues. My motivation is the desire to be a happier me.
On the weekends I stay motivate by going to Kroger and buying myself a snack to indulge in(Milano cookies, twizzlers, etc), and I anticipate this all week. I allow myself this snack on one day during the weekend (if I'm not working). If I am working I don't eat because I pull a double at the county and the food is sketchy. I try to be extra active on weekends when I don't work. Good luck everyone!
Weekends are fine for me. It's work that gets me. That damn cafeteria and it's wonderful cookies. I have ran three mornings this week so that is good. I start a 10k training plan on Sunday.
I just need to really watch what I eat of I don't want to keep putting on weight and actually take some off.

Later on, yes. I have no problem having a treat here and there. But in the couple few weeks of trying to get on track, that screws up my momentum.
