February 2013 Moms

These kids need to STAHP IT!!!

This morning my oldest lost his first tooth.  I don't know why this is hitting me hard, but it's the whole symbolism of shedding the baby teeth.  I'm realizing he isn't my baby anymore.

This, combined with DS2 starting Kindergarten this week, has me wanting to freeze time.

I keep telling them to stop growing up, but they just won't listen.  ::sobs::

I have definitely been having ALL THE FEELS lately over DS1, he'll be four in a few months and is already talking about how he can't wait to go to kindergarten.  STAHP!!!!

          DS1: Quinn - 10.22.10 and DS2: Cole - 01.18.13

  • I am sorry. Today, I sent my 8 year old off to 3rd grade :(  We got him in kindergarten; has it really been that long!?

Second, what is STAHP? I can't figure it out!

  • @sagen, well don't I feel dumb! I thought it stood for something and I couldn't figure it out. I guess that is what I get for trying to over think it.

  • Now, one aspect of growing up I would gladly accept is DD1 learning to poop in the potty instead of her pants at naptime.  Why can't they grow up in the ways we want them to, but stay little in the ways we don't want them to grow?????  ::sobbing harder::

  • I keep reading this as "STAPH it".  Like staph infection.  And then that's all I can think about.

We are so thankful that our second daughter, Lillian Elizabeth "Lily", was born healthy and happy on February 11, 2013.  We love her to pieces.

We lost our first daughter, Hannah Grace on May 4, 2011.  She was buried on May 14 during a beautiful service at my home church. We are grateful that if she could not be here with us, that she is healed and whole with the Lord. We look forward to the day when we will get to meet her. We love her so much.
