Headaches and fatigue

I'm so sick of having headaches and fatigue all the time. The fatigue isn't as bad as first tri but still effects me. Maybe I'm tired bc of my headaches? Anyone else? Or suggestions?

Re: Headaches and fatigue

  • I'm still almost as tired as first tri. And I probably have a headache part of everyday. Chiropractic helps the headaches not be so severe. But I'm going to talk to my OB about all of it. And going to have my thyroid levels retested.

  • Right there with ya except that my headaches come and go.  But I'm always tired.  And if I don't get enough sleep, the next two days are completely ruined for me.  It's awful.

  • I'm 16 weeks and I'm only just starting to pull out of the fatigue slump. Luckily I'm on vacation, so I've been taking almost daily naps.
As for the headaches, I've been getting those more recently too. They're usually worse in the evenings, so I try to go to bed early, dark lighting, fan on max, big glass of water and the occasional Tylenol.
  • I think part of my issue with headaches too is that I'll forget to eat for hours. I try to keep snacks near me. But my 10 month wants to eat anything I even put near my mouth so it gets really annoying.
  • Yea the headaches have been ridiculous this pregnancy! Can't even think at work in the afternoons! Ughhh
  • I stopped going to my chiro because I was too tired and nauseous to get up and go to the only time that works for me: 7am. Between losing that (chiro helped a ton pre-preg with my afternoon headaches!) and getting less sleep than usual, headaches and fatigue are the norm for me. It sucks.

  • Fatigue and headaches have been hell for me. It's like I can't catch up. The other weekend I slept ten hours over night. Woke up and ate breakfast. Took a three hour nap. Woke up and ate lunch and then took another two hour nap. And I didn't have a problem sleeping that night. Ain't nobody got time for that. I definitely know my fatigue has gotten worse since first tri. I feel great other than fatigue and headaches though. Just got my bitch face on most of the time.

  • I have my peppermint oil at hand all day. I put it in an atomizer and spray on my palms and smell it when i get headaches. I sometimes spray it on my neck bec my headaches extend to my neck and shoulders

  • I wonder if it's bc I'm not eating much. I'm just not hungry. I still eat breakfast, a small snack and lunch but I'm just not hungry after lunch. Just had a pb&j sandwich (half) and feel better headache wise. Idk. If I'm not hungry I can't force myself to eat :-/
  • I kind of got through my sleepiness of my 1st trimester but its back..and the headaches are more frequent now. After I eat my body is usually screaming for a nap...like after breakfast at work my head is just rolling forward and eyes close. Before i know it I have fallen asleep.

I hope that maybe it gets a lil better but it seems to be getting worse.

  • I'm 16 weeks today and although I'm loving pregnancy, I'm not loving these super painful headaches! I've never been one to get them so they seem really unbearable. I got a massage yesterday...hopefully that relives some tension. I've also been told to use peppermint oil (or drink tea...yuck) and ice my neck.
  • My headaches are just not getting better. I manage them ok but I wake up with them every day and its a super horrible way to start the day. Makes it really hard to get going and get ready for a busy day of work.

    I'm tired, girls. TIRRRREEEED.
  • I'm trying a chiropractor today...
