The line about the deep voice makes me laugh. My two year old can do a fake deep voice. He does it when he's pretending on the phone. It's the funniest thing to hear this little 2 year old deep voice say "hello?!"

My 4 yo has been doing this for quite a while it cracks me up.
As a mom of three girls some of these happen with girls as well. DD#2 is very rough and tumble and constantly has bruises everywhere. She wears superhero shirts and wants to watch similar shows on Netflix.
But I know it will somehow be completely different when I hold this baby boy. I'm still trying to come to terms with all that will be different and how exactly to raise a little boy versus how I've been raising these girls.
It is hard enough when everyone thinks we kept trying until we got a boy... And therefore makes my girls (currently only DD#1 notices) feel less than adequate. Knowing I will feel differently about Rykor makes it hard because I don't want the girls to grow up believing we didn't want them in any way.
Sorry for the tangent... Momma's emotional today!!!

Absolutely in love with our 'big' family!
I'm also a proud Auntie to a crazy little girl, her brand new baby sister, a little man on his way in the next month, and a sweet little mister we will miss forever!!!
"Being a little boy’s mama means always going, moving, running, energy. It means muddy shoes, bandaged legs, and breath-catching stunts that nearly stop your heart." That's where we are these days. Oh the energy.
But also. I dont necessarily agree with "boys will belong to their wives and girls belong to their mothers" thing. I feel like its the opposite. It seems that most of the time the wife joins/spends more time with the husbands family more so than the other way around.
