I am thinking of joining a women's fitness and wellness center that specifically caters to women in the prenatal and post-natal period. The prenatal classes seem to be yoga, core, toning, and barre which have obviously been modified for women who are pregnant. The pricing is decent ($118 for a 3-month membership).
Has anyone done something like this? Was it beneficial? I didn't workout prior to getting pregnant outside of occassional yoga (maybe 2-3 times a month), so I'm looking for someone to guide me a little bit with my workouts. I need to do something because the two months of lying on the couch feeling too sick to move has really deconditioned me! I get winded waaaaay too easily now and have noticed I lost some of my strength. My anemia probably isn't helping the situation, but the doctor did say it was OK to start working out as long as I wasn't getting my heart rate over 140 or doing anything in a heated room.
I'd love to hear other people's thoughts on prenatal programs they liked during a prevoius pregnancy or one they are doing now that they like. Thanks!
Re: Prenatal fitness center?
Waited a long time, tried a lot of stuff, science made me a mom.
Ahh that makes more sense (unfortunately), lol!
