Is this lightening crotch?

So, lately but especially today I've been b feeling what can best be described as cramping in my cervix. Feels very similar to cramping after my LEEPs or ECCs, ie, after doc has messed with my cervix.
Is this what I keel hearing described as lighting crotch? Or Braxton hicks? Or is Lil Noob just being really mean to mommy with his kicks?

    When I've had lightning crotch, it's felt like an electric shock to my vagina.  Not so much like cramps - although I've never had a LEEP or ECC.

    This little girl has been jumping on my cervix.  It sucks.

    To me it feels like I shock out if no where, I don't know about cramping.

    I haven't had it yet with this one - as I recall with DS it started for me mid-3rd but not like cramping (which can be a much slower, dull sensation).  Like other's said, it's more like a quick shock that is sudden (or like a quick punch in the crotch).  Enough to make you stop walking or what you're doing because it feels like a very painful jolt. Even painful cramps I could walk through.  Lightning crotch - I'd be walking and it would happen (a lot of times in the middle of the night walking to the bathroom) and I'd actually jump and yell (ouch! F! Ugh!) - like a cartoon character being hit by lightning - hence the name. image

    I actually described this to my doctor exactly as "lightening crotch." He looked at me like I had 10 heads! I just imagine the baby using my cervix as a trampoline, lol.
